Magnussen baalt van missen top 10

Kevin Magnussen is gefrustreerd nadat hij twee keer net buiten de top tien is gefinisht.

Toen Pastor Maldonado bij Renault vertrok, kon Magnussen na een jaar achter de schermen te hebben gewerkt bij McLaren aan de slag bij het Franse team. Hier wist Magnussen twee keer op rij te finishen als elfde.

"Het is erg frustrerend. In Australië was daar die klapband en in Bahrein moest ik vanuit de pitstraat starten", vertelt Magnussen. "Maar ja, zo gaat het nou eenmaal in de racerij. Het ene moment zit het mee en het andere moment niet. Maar we zitten dichtbij de top tien, dus dat geeft weer motivatie."

"De auto voelt goed aan. Nu nog wat meer downforce en nog wat meer power. Dat willen alle coureurs natuurlijk wel", lacht hij. "Ik vind het tof dat ik weer achter het stuur zit. Maar het blijft frustrerend dat je na jezelf van achteren naar voren te hebben geknokt, toch als elfde finisht."

Magnussen gaat met een positieve mindset naar China toe, hopende op de eerste punten van het seizoen voor Renault. Hij is wel bang dat het Chinese circuit de Renault niet ligt, aangezien het veel snelle rechte stukken bevat.

"We kennen onze zwakheden, het circuit zal onze auto niet echt heel veel plezier doen denk ik. Maar als we een goede uitgangspositie hebben, denk ik dat we mee kunnen dingen voor de punten", voegt Magnussen toe.

Ten eerste is Kevin denk ik niet zo goed als men denkt/hoopt/wil dat hij is en ten tweede mag hij niet klagen. Hij finisht voor Button en hij wist dat het moeilijk zou zijn dit eerste seizoen. Hij moet wel beter gaan presteren anders kon het wel eens zijn laatste seizoen in de F1 geweest zijn... GO Kevin, GO!

  Ik denk dat het meer aan de Renault ligt dan aan Magnussen.

De Renault wordt steeds beter. Palmer is een goede rijder, maakt niet veel fouten en doet wat het team zegt. Hoe hij zich verhoudt tot Magnussen en vice versa, zal hopelijk gauw blijken

Ik vind Magnussen niet per se heel slecht maar hoe komt zo flets over, zowel op zaterdagen als zondagen (dat vond ik bij McLaren al).
