Williams: "We gaan de goede kant op, maar zijn er nog lang niet"

Het team van Williams behaalde in Valencia het beste resultaat van 2010. Rubens Barrichello bezorgde de Britse renstal een vierde positie. Ook Nico Hülkenberg leek op weg naar punten, maar een gebarsten uitlaat gooide roet in het eten.

Technisch directeur Sam Michael is tevreden met het resultaat, maar benadrukt dat Williams nog een lange weg te gaan heeft. Dit betere optreden was te danken aan het verbeterde pakket voor de FW32 en de karakteristieken van het circuit van Valencia. We gaan de goede kant op, maar we zijn er nog lang niet.

Voor Silverstone hebben we een nieuwe stap voorwaarts in de planning, daar verschijnen wij voor het eerst met het blown diffuser-concept aan de start. Het doel voor de Britse Grand Prix is om de race met beide auto's in de top tien te finishen.
