Fernando Alonso blij na 'een van deze goede races'

Fernando Alonso behaalde zijn beste resultaat van zijn tweede verblijf bij McLaren met een vijfde plaats in de Grand Prix van Monaco. Het is de tweede maal dat hij op deze positie eindigde, na de Hongaarse race vorig jaar.

Vanzelfsprekend was de Spanjaard erg tevreden met het resultaat. "Het voelt goed en het zorgt voor tevredenheid. Het was een van die races die goed voelen", liet Alonso weten tegenover Sky Sports. "We hadden dit weekend nog geen ervaring in de regen, dus het maakte de wissel van regen- naar intermediate-banden lastig. De wissel naar slicks was echter nog lastiger omdat er maar één droge lijn was."

Dit goede resultaat moet volgens Alonso echter wel in perspectief worden geplaatst. "Het is een uniek circuit, dus we moeten geen conclusies trekken uit deze vijfde plek. Daarnaast was het een chaos in deze race. Bij ons ging alles goed, maar qua snelheid zitten we nog niet op deze positie. Met twee keer een Q3 behaald te hebben gaat het de goede kant op. We kunnen elke race punten scoren, maar we hebben nog wel een lange weg te gaan."

      Helemaal niet!
      Alonso was gewoon veel sneller dan de Mercedes en ook al is de McLaren-Honda iets minder(niet in chassis maar wel iets in motorvermogen)dan nog kan Alonso dat gewoon compenseren door zijn uitzonderlijke kwaliteit.

      Nou niet verliefd hoor,maar vind het wel leuk om je te narren en vind je opmerkingen terug ook altijd geweldig.

      Canada willen ze waarschijnlijk een motorupdate introduceren. Maar aangezien ze alleen voor grote updates gaan dit jaar, is het nog niet eens zeker.

      Heeft Alonso niet nodig,de man is zo goed dat hij zelfs zonder updates en geluk gewoon 5e wordt.
      Wat zeg ik!?
      Hij heeft er zelfs kampioenschappen mee gewonnen!!!

      Met geluk kampioenschappen?
      Nee hoor. In 2005 reed hij snaarstrak op Prost achtige wijze naar de titel (waar hij niet kon winnen pakte hij netjes het podium).

      In 2006 was de Renault en Ferrari gewaagd aan elkaar. Alonso kreeg 2x pech (Hongarije en Italie) en Schumacher kreeg de e na laatste race pech. Maja dat van Schumacher onthouden natuurlijk alle mensen en de pech die Alonso kreeg vergeten we natuurlijk maar al te graag.
      Alonso was over een heel jaar net even beter.

      Alonso dus 2x terecht kampioen. Alleen in 2007 had Alonso t slimmer kunnen doen. Fouten in Canada en Fuji deden hem de das om.

    Zo krijgt die hork Dennis toch zijn gelijk.

      Zo slecht deed Alonso het ook niet. Toen Ricciardo aan het pushen was richting Hamilton toen bleef het gat tussen Hamilton en Alonso nagenoeg gelijk tot aan het einde van de race.
