Haas F1 hervindt de vorm van begin dit seizoen

Het team van Haas heeft een aantal moeilijke weekenden achter de rug, maar heeft nu weer de weg naar boven ingeslagen. Dat denkt teambaas Günther Steiner. Haas F1 Team debuteerde in de Formule 1 en scoorde meteen punten in Australië. Dat herhaalde de Amerikaanse nieuwkomer in Bahrein, maar daarna kwam er een beetje de klad in.

Romain Grosjean eindigde in Rusland nog wel in de punten, maar dat kon de mindere vorm van Haas F1 niet verbloemen. Na Bahrein ging het team een andere kant op met de set-up en dat bleek een misvatting. Steiner: "In de test op Barcelona na de Spaanse Grand Prix hebben we weer vertrouwen opgebouwd. In China en Rusland hadden we moeite om de banden in het juiste raamwerk te krijgen."

"Nu hebben we weer vertrouwen in ons pakket. We zijn terug op het niveau waarmee we het seizoen aanvingen. We doen altijd ons best. Ik heb geen idee hoe hoog we kunnen eindigen, want andere teams scoren ook volop punten. We gaan elke race voor punten. We staan momenteel achtste en we willen hoger eindigen dan dat. Daar doen we alles voor."
