Force India barst van zelfvertrouwen na Monaco

Force India heeft een flinke dosis zelfvertrouwen overgehouden aan de Grand Prix van Monaco. In het prinsdom behaalde de Indiase renstal een uitstekend resultaat met Sergio Perez op plek drie en Nico Hülkenberg op plaats zes. Force India sprong meteen naar positie vijf in het kampioenschap voor constructeurs.

Teambaas Vijay Mallya: "Monaco was een significant weekend voor ons. Het is een van de beroemdste races ter wereld en ik voelde een enorme trots toen ik Perez op het podium zag staan. Dat is een herinnering die me altijd bij zal blijven. Het was een briljante prestatie van het team en een beloning voor het onophoudelijke harde werk achter de schermen."

"De performance in Monaco betekent dat we vol vertrouwen naar Canada zijn afgereisd. Met de 23 punten uit Monaco zijn we gestegen naar de vijfde plaats. Ik roep het hele jaar al dat het geluk ons eens moet toelachen en hopelijk is dit een omslagpunt. We hebben nu wat momentum en ik geloof dat we ook in de komende races veel punten kunnen vergaren."
