Leclerc vijf vrijdagtrainingen in actie voor Haas F1

Charles Leclerc krijgt dit jaar vijf vrijdagtrainingen bij Haas F1 Team. Dat meldt Auto Motor und Sport. Leclerc zal telkens de plek innemen van Esteban Gutierrez. Wanneer zijn eerste optreden voor de Amerikaanse renstal zal zijn is nog niet duidelijk.

Leclerc staat te boek als een groot talent en behoort tot het opleidingsprogramma van Haas F1-partner Ferrari. De 18-jarige Monegask is dit seizoen actief in de GP3. In het eerste weekend won hij de hoofdrace en hij is koploper in de tussenstand om het kampioenschap.

      Ik heb zo'n vermoeden dat je hem nog nooit hebt zien racen Aviflex. Hij is echt heel snel en maakt weinig fouten. Lekker agressieve coureur die in de toekomst zeker wel in de F1 terecht zal komen.

    Leuk voor die jongen, maar dat is geen lekker signaal richting Gutiérrez.
    Haas geeft zo duidelijk aan dat Grosjean de serieuze rijder is en Esteban er alleen maar zit omdat Ferrari dat graag wilde...

      Ja maar Carmen Jorda was vorig jaar ook ontwikkelingrijder bij Lotus, Terwijl Jolyon Palmer (de testrijder) de FP's deed.

    Ik veronderstel van niet. Hoe zou hij daaraan gekomen zijn ?
    Hij haalde in 2014 7 ptn door een 2de plaats in de Form Renault 2.0 Alps.
    In 2015 reed Charles in de FIA F3 en werd 4de in het klassement en krijgt daarvoor 10 punten.
    Dus 23 punten te weinig om in 2017 in de F1 te mogen debuteren.
    Enkel door dit jaar in de GP3 kampioen te worden kan hij aan de benodigde punten raken.
    Met een 2de plaats in de eindstand komt hij 3 puntjes te kort.
