Het vergaat het team van McLaren dit seizoen iets beter dan vorig jaar, maar de resultaten geven nog geen aanleiding om de polonaise te lopen. De Britse renstal bezet de zevende plaats in de tussenstand met 24 gescoorde punten. Channel 4 ging langs bij de aankondiging van nieuwe partner Michael Kors en vroeg coureurs Fernando Alonso en Jenson Button naar het seizoen tot dusver en hun verwachtingen voor de Grand Prix van Oostenrijk.
