Daniel Ricciardo viert vandaag zijn 27ste verjaardag

Red Bull Racing-coureur Daniel Ricciardo is vandaag jarig. De Australiër blaast 27 kaarsjes uit op zijn verjaardagstaart. Ricciardo is bezig aan zijn vijfde volledige seizoen in de Formule 1, nadat hij in 2011 halverwege het jaar debuteerde bij HRT. Na 96 Grands Prix staat de teller 438 gescoorde punten en drie zeges. De felicitaties gaan uit naar de jarige Ricciardo.

Ook ik ben een herintredend F1 fan sinds Max mee doet, niets mis mee lijkt mij.
Want de F1 is een aantal jaren ook behoorlijk saai geweest en sinds Max is er weer wat meer actie op de baan en uiteraard ook een stuk nationale trots.

      Het is triest gesteld op dit forum met al die namaak fans die er bij zijn gekomen sinds de successen van Max Verstappen. Ricciardo nog niets gepresteerd? Nouja... toch 1 van de beste rijders van het huidige veld met een goede auto onder zijn kont die volgend jaar zomaar eens voor het kampioenschap zou kunnen strijden. Eveneens in 2014 3 races gewonnen en teamgenoot Vettel verslagen. Het is maar wat je "nog niets gepresteerd" noemt.

      Maar dat Ricciardo Vettel heeft verslagen is een knappe prestatie, maar Ricciardo is vorig jaar op punten door Kvyat verslagen (hoe goed moet Sainz dan wel niet zijn ;-) ) dus ook dat zegt niet altijd alles.
      Ik ben het trouwens met je eens dat het een van de beste rijders in het veld is en ik hoop dat de titel strijd volgend jaar tussen Ric en Ves gaat.

      @DAMON HILL Ik dacht: even trollen. Je hapt wel lekker. ;-) Uiteraard weet ik ook wel dat Daniel het ene na het andere succes aan elkaar heeft moeten rijgen om in de F1 terecht te komen, en van één van zijn overwinningen was ik zelfs persoonlijk getuige (ik zwaaide nog net niet met de finishvlag). Happy birthday, Dan!

      Het duel tussen Vet en Ric kun je helemaal niet vergelijken met het duel Kvy en Ric.
      Ric heeft Vet met grote overmacht verslagen tot overwinningen toe , toen Ricciardo Kvyat als teamgenoot had , hadden ze nagenoeg hetzelfde aantal punten aan het eind
