Max Verstappen laat bokaal tweede plaats Silverstone ophalen door team

Door een straf van Mercedes-coureur Nico Rosberg werd Max Verstappen twee weken geleden in Silverstone tweede in plaats van derde. De Red Bull Racing-coureur laat weten dat hij de bokaal voor de tweede plaats niet zelf in ontvangst heeft genomen. De Nederlander stuurde iemand van het team om de beker in ontvangst te nemen.

"Om eerlijk te zijn heb ik de bokaal zelf niet opgehaald, dat heeft iemand van het team gedaan. Toen ik het bericht kreeg dat ik tweede was in plaats van derde was ik daar natuurlijk erg blij mee. Omdat de uitslag na de race werd gewijzigd vond ik dat het team de beker maar op moest halen", aldus Verstappen vanuit Hongarije.

PS Ik bankier bij ING, heb een Bull fiets, kom nauwelijks bij de Jumbo, drink in het geheel geen bier en Axe deo is echt het smerigste wat er bestaat. Ik vrees dat je een beetje naief bent geweest.

      Daar heb je een goed Nederlands woord voor: naief. Geeft niet hoor. Waarschijnlijk bankier je ook bij de Rabobank, heb je een Gazelle fiets en doe je je boodschappen bij de Jumbo en drink je Amstel bier en gebruik je Axe als deodorant :).

    Hoogstwaarschijnlijk krijgt Max de trofee ook niet en blijft die bij het team.
    Dit is bij bijna alle coureurs het geval de coureur zelf krijgt slechts een replica.

      @lada Misschien bij RBR alleen de bekers van de 2e en 3e plaats. Immers bij winst is er ook een constructeurs beker. Wellicht mogen de coureurs de rijders beker houden.
      Opa (Frans) Verstappen gaf al aan dat hij verwacht dat de beker van Barcelona 2016 ooit in zijn ijssalon komt te staan, naast de 3e plaats Hongarije beker van Jos.

      Volgens.mij krijgt het team.als zowel de coureur een eigen bokaal. Die staat echt wel.in sijn kast al. Bij de rest. Het team mag dus haar eigen beker ophalen . Max heeft hem.direct met rosberg gerolen

      Ja en dat was nog moeilijk genoeg, Rosberg wou zijn beker niet afgeven. Er moest zelfs iemand van de wedstrijdleiding bemiddelen. ;-)

    Geen idee, maar ik meen me te herinneren dat bekers eigenlijk altijd bij het team blijven. En waarom zou Max naar mercedes moeten lopen voor zijn beker.. daar hebben ze inderdaad mensen voor. Max is bezig met racen. Niks arrogant aan hoor.

      Inderdaad. En net alsof dat een leuke meeting wordt met Rosberg. Die gaat echt niet mee om z'n beker om te wisselen hoor. Dat is gewoon onderling 2 medewerkers van beide teams.
