Daniel Ricciardo blij met tweede podiumplaats van seizoen

Voor de tweede keer dit seizoen pakte Daniel Ricciardo een podium. In Hongarije pakte de Australiër een derde plek, nadat hij in Monaco al tweede werd. Bochtige circuits liggen de Red Bull-coureur dus wel.

Op het podium liet Ricciardo weten aan Kai Ebel: "Bedankt iedereen! Het is geweldig om weer op het podium te staan. De eerste was een beetje bitter, maar van deze kan ik echt genieten. Dit circuit is goed voor mij geweest. Het is ook een prima circuit. Het is goed om terug te zijn op het podium en we hebben een leuke dag gehad."

    Goede race voor 'm. Kwam wel snel naar binnen op de softs. Red Bull verslaat Ferrari hier maar nipt, ben benieuwd hoe de verhoudingen volgende week zijn.
    Stel je voor dat er geen Mercedes was, hoe spannend was het WK dan wel niet tussen de coureurs van Ferrari en RBR.

    Tijdens de wedstrijd had ik het idee dat ze misschien beter eerst Verstappen hadden kunnen pitten (undercut) onder voorwaarde dat hij de plek zou teruggeven aan RIC.
    Dan hadden Verstappen en RIC voor Vettel en Raikonen gezeten en had het verloop van de wedstrijd misschien wat makkelijker geweest.
    Weet niet of ik dat goed bedacht had, maar was zomaar een gedachte.

    Goede race van Ricciardo, Max viel me tegen vandaag.

    Verschrikkelijke timing van het team voor Verstappen. Maar Max klaagt niet zoals Daniel klaagde na Spanje.

    Zeer goed resultaat idd, hoop dat Daniel volgend weekend weer zo rijdt.
    Heeft laten zien dat hij een bijter is en gewoon geweldig kan sturen.
    Op de circuits waar meer stops zijn is hij tov Max de meerdere.. kunnen elkaar dus nog opstuwen!

      Hoe zo de meerdere....? Heb je niet echt goed opgelet voorgaande races. Omdat Max beter met z'n banden omgaat heeft hij voorgaande races in zijn voordeel beslist. Max had nu gewoon pech en Ricciardo heeft verdiend gewonnen.

      Das precies wat ik zeg, Riccardo heeft een agressievere rijstijl en eet daarom z'n banden sneller op en is op deze circuits net wat beter.. kent de auto en filosofie van rbr, Max is idd beter in verzorgen van rubber dan Riccardo.
      Misschien zegt horner daarom wel dat Max aan z'n qualificeren moet werken wat hij goed oppakt.

    Vind het nogal tegenvallen. 3e en 5e plek....dacht dat Red Bull hier echt kansen had op 1 en 2. Die verdomde Mercedessen altijd weer.
    Wordt hoogste tijd voor een dikke upgrade van Renault.
    Wordt een beetje schijtziek van die Sjors en Sjimmie weekenden.

      Beetje vreemde reactie van je. Dit hoort bij de sport, en RB kan nu eenmaal niet ieder gevecht winnen. Het was wat saai idd, zeker geen slecht resultaat, maar meer was zeker mogelijk geweest.
      Verder heb ik geen idee hoe die "djors en sjimmie" opmerking op te vatten, maar als je er zo schijtziek van wordt kun je mischien beter pocémons gaan vangen.

    Vorige race klaagde hij over saaie race. Nu niet. Vreemd. Hij heeft nu niet 1 keer voor zijn plaats moeten vechten. Hij kon niet aanvallen en verdedigen hoefde ook niet. Als hij podium haalt klaagt hij niet. Als Max podium haalt dan was het voor hem een saaie race.

    Saaie race. RIC heeft het maximale eruit gehaald. Jammer voor RB dat hij net niet wat harder kon in het eerste gedeelte. Daardoor kon Ferrari er tussen komen en dat koste RB plek 4. Je kan ook zeggen dat Ferrari het dus goed deed al konden ze hier niet inhalen. Ze zorgden wel voor wat opwinding omdat ze door de goede tactiek er weer een wedstrijd van maakte.
