Foto's: Pirelli rondt eerste test richting 2017 af

Het circuit van Fiorano stond de voorbije twee dagen in het teken van de eerste test met de Pirelli-banden voor volgend seizoen. De Italiaanse bandenfabrikant voelde met behulp van Ferrari de bredere banden voor 2017 voor het eerst aan de tand. Sebastian Vettel nam de eerste dag voor zijn rekening en overhandigde de auto uit 2015 voor de tweede dag aan Esteban Gutierrez. Vandaag en morgen test Pirelli met Red Bull Racing op het circuit van Mugello.

    Ik vindt het er bijzonder uitzien. Het is een totale aanname maar ik verwacht dat de bredere banden wel eens nadelig kunnen gaan werken op natte circuits, daar het moeilijke wordt om water af te voeren door de groeven in de band. Echter op droge banen zullen ze een stuk harder rijden.

    Het kan ook zijn dat ik er compleet naast zit, ben natuurlijk geen expert op het gebied van banden.

      Aan de andere kant, die ene regenrace per jaar..

      Betreft de starts op regenbanden. Er is afgesproken met de strategy group dat er volgend jaar gewoon staande starts zijn tijdens natte races. Of de banden meer of minder water afvoeren is wel een goede vraag ik denk dat het meevalt maar is zeker iets voor te zeggen.
      In de serie inside line van vandaag hoorde ik ook dat er voor volgend jaar tijdens wet starts gewoon staande starts zijn

    Zie ik trouwens nou goed dat de achtervleugel breder is gemaakt? Diie 2015 auto ziet er zo wel heel erg mooi uit zeg.

      Wel mooi dat één, twee aanpassingen gewoon een auto in één klap mooier maken. Die bredere banden en bredere voorvleugel doen me weer terugdenken aan 10 jaar terug. Dat waren echt de mooiste auto's.
