Jordan King: "Dit is een droom die uitkomt"

Jordan King mocht namens Manor de eerste vrije training afwerken in de auto van Pascal Wehrlein. De jonge Brit, uitkomend in het GP2-kampioenschap, spreekt van een droom die uitkomt. In de anderhalf uur dat King reed was hij bovendien sneller dan Esteban Ocon, al reed Ocon zijn snelste tijd op de medium band en King op de zachte band.

"Toen ik het circuit op kwam had ik een brede glimlach. Toen ik met de auto de garage uit reed werd ik nog blijer. Dit is ongelofelijk, een droom die uitkomt. Ik zal de rondjes die ik op dit toffe circuit heb gereden de rest van mijn leven niet meer vergeten. Ik ben tevreden met de bijdrage die ik heb kunnen leveren aan het team en het voelde heel comfortabel in de auto toen ik eenmaal op het circuit was."
