Sabotage bij Sauber niet aan de orde volgens Felipe Nasr

Na afloop van de Grand Prix van Amerika verschenen er wilde geruchten dat de problemen van Felipe Nasr mogelijk veroorzaakt zouden zijn door sabotage vanuit zijn eigen team. Nasr ontkracht de geruchten en denkt echter dat Sauber dat niet doet.

Volgens de geruchten zou Sauber bezig zijn om de prestaties van de Braziliaan negatief te beïnvloeden, om een mogelijke overstap van hem en sponsor Banco do Brasil naar Force India te voorkomen. Nasr stelt dat dat niet het geval is, maar wilde wel toegeven dat het de problemen met het rijgedrag van zijn Sauber in Amerika 'erg vreemd' waren.

De Sauber-coureur vertelde UOL: "De onbalans van de auto was erg vreemd en dat heb ik aan het team verteld, maar ik denk dat het te ver gaat om te stellen dat dit met opzet gedaan is. Het is niet nodig om daar verder op in te gaan. Ik wil me focussen op de rest van het weekend en de laatste drie races goed mijn best doen. Als team zullen we werken aan antwoorden op de problemen"
