Vervolg bij Sauber geniet de prioriteit van Nasr

Sauber-coureur Felipe Nasr hoopt ook volgend jaar onderdeel uit te maken van het Formule 1-veld. De Braziliaan heeft nog geen contract voor 2017 en er zijn nog maar drie plekken beschikbaar op de grid. De vooruitzichten voor Nasr zijn echter niet rooskleurig.

Zijn sponsor Banco do Brasil heeft nog geen toezeggingen gedaan over volgend jaar, wat de onderhandelingen bemoeilijkt. Nasr: "Een langer verblijf bij Sauber geniet nog altijd de prioriteit. We zijn in gesprek met elkaar. Hopelijk weet ik spoedig meer over mijn toekomstplannen."

De Braziliaan hielp Sauber in eigen land aan twee belangrijke punten. "Die negende plek op Interlagos voelde voor ons echt als een overwinning. We hebben wat slechte momenten meegemaakt dit seizoen en dit was de opkikker die we zo hard nodig hadden", aldus Nasr.

Ondertussen zagen Pascal Wehrlein en Rio Haryanto aan de stoelpoten van Nasr. Wehrlein is een protegé van Mercedes en Sauber rijdt met Ferrari-motoren, maar dat is geen obstakel. "Dat zou geen probleem vormen", verklaarde de Duitser aan de vooravond van het weekend in Abu Dhabi.

"Ik ben vrij ontspannen. Ik weet niet in hoeverre de beslissingen al zijn genomen, daar kan ik geen zinnig woord over zeggen. Slechts twee teams hebben nog stoeltjes beschikbaar, maar ze kunnen uit een hoop coureurs kiezen, inclusief rijders met veel geld", besluit Wehrlein.

  staat of valt met twee dingen. 1. de trouwhartigheid van Monisha = nihil en 2. Of Banco de Brasil toch nog met centjes op de proppen kan komen of niet. Resultaten uit het verleden bieden geen garanties voor de toekomst bij Sauber...

Je moet toch niet bij Sauber willen rijden volgend jaar!!
Dan heb je zo'n zelfde seizoen als dit jaar, leuk hoor 20 miljoen betalen om geen enkele rol van betekenis te hebben.
Kun je later tegen je kinderen zeggen, papa reed ook tussen de mannen van de F1 alleen altijd op 2 rondjes achterstand.
Sauber heeft nog niets geleerd dit jaar, dat een verouderde motor niet werkt!!
Iets met een ezel of zoiets ??

  Daar ben ik me bewust van Jean, maar zou jij 20 miljoen willen betalen om precies 0.0 kans te maken op een titel of GP winst?
  Ik persoonlijk ben een winnaar en als ik geen kans op winst heb, zou ik me geld ergens anders in stoppen.
  Bijvoorbeeld een klasse lager bij een top team.

  Ik denk dat elke coureur F1 wil rijden, in wat voor team dan ook.
  
  F1 biedt een sponsor een platform van ruim 400 miljoen directe kijkers in 150 landen.
  Dit afgezet tegen de 20 milj. aan sponsoring is geen slechte keuze

Vind het eigenlijk zo raar dat mensen of ondernemingen geld reserveren voor slechtere rijders terwijl er genoeg rijders rond lopen die veel meer in hun mars hebben dan die rijders . Als ik genoeg geld zou hebben zette ik het op iemand die iets in zijn mars zou hebben zodat ik er op het eind misschien nog van kan profiteren .
