Het team van Red Bull Racing heeft in de laatste Grand Prix van 2016 weer eens de DHL Fastest Pit Stop Award voor zich opgeëist. De Oostenrijkse renstal had slechts 2,11 seconden nodig voor de enige bandenwissel van Max Verstappen. De dit seizoen toonaangevende pitcrew van Williams was nu nergens te bekennen in de top vijf van snelste pitstops in Abu Dhabi.
