Ecclestone drijft de spot met Mexicaanse GP

Bernie Ecclestone heeft zijn traditionele kerstkaart voor de Formule 1-gemeenschap rondgestuurd. De commerciële baas van de koningsklasse van de autosport neemt zoals gebruikelijk een gebeurtenis uit het afgelopen jaar op de hak.

Dit keer is dat de podiumceremonie na de Grand Prix van Mexico. Die was een rommeltje. Max Verstappen finishte als derde en dacht naar het podium te mogen, maar in het kamertje achter het ereschavot kreeg hij te horen dat hij terug was gezet door een tijdstraf.

Sebastian Vettel erfde de derde plaats, maar ook hij incasseerde een straf. Zo is Daniel Ricciardo uiteindelijk als derde geklasseerd. Ecclestone steekt in zijn kerstkaart de draak met die chaotisch verlopen ceremonie. Klik hier om de kerstkaart te bekijken.
