Stroll bezorgt Williams nieuwe sponsor met JCB

JCB, een fabrikant van bouwgereedschap, heeft zich voor 2017 aan Williams verbonden. Het logo van de firma prijkt komend seizoen op het chassis en de wing-end plates van de achtervleugel van de FW40. De komst van JCB is een direct gevolg van het contracteren van Lance Stroll, zo legt Williams in het persbericht uit.

De Britse renstal geeft aan dat er meer nieuwe partners in aantocht zijn door de aanwezigheid van Stroll. Vice-teambaas Claire Williams: "We zijn verguld om JCB binnen ons portfolio aan sponsors te verwelkomen. Engineering en innovatie vormen de kern van alles dat we doen bij Williams. Deze samenwerking met JCB is dan ook gebaseerd op gedeelde waarden en aspiraties. Als twee Britse merken delen we de motivatie om continu de grenzen te verleggen en niet op onze lauweren te rusten. Ik ben overtuigd dat dit een succesvolle alliantie voor beide merken wordt en ik kijk ernaar uit om aan de slag te gaan met het prestigieuze merk JCB."
