Verstappen donderdag in persconferentie in China

Red Bull Racing-coureur Max Verstappen is door de internationale autosportbond FIA opgeroepen voor de traditionele persconferentie op de donderdag voorafgaand aan een Grand Prix-weekend. De 19-jarige Nederlander is een van de zes rijders die aanschuiven om de pers te woord te staan.

De FIA-persconferentie op donderdag heeft voor dit jaar een ander format gekregen. In plaats van zes coureurs in één keer opteert de autosportbond nu voor twee lichtingen van drie rijders aan om met de media te praten. Het ene groepje spreekt eerst met de schrijvende pers en daarna met de aanwezige televisiestations, het andere groepje doet dat in omgekeerde volgorde.

Verstappen behoort in China tot de lichting die eerst met kranten en websites in conclaaf gaat, samen met Nico Hülkenberg van Renault en Ferrari-rijder Sebastian Vettel. Het tweede groepje bestaat uit Antonio Giovinazzi (Sauber), Carlos Sainz (Toro Rosso) en Kimi Raikkonen (Ferrari).

De persconferentie begint donderdag om 15.00 uur lokale tijd, dat is 09.00 uur Nederlandse tijd.

    Ik had al wel verwacht dat VEr nu aan de beurt zou zijn aangezien hij in Australie ontzien werd van het verplichte media praatje op de donderdag. Ik ben benieuwt of ze ngo iets nieuws uit VEr kunnen trekken. Er zullen wel veel vragen gesteld worden over de verwachtigen van RBR tov Mercedes en Ferrari en de TAG heuer motor. En VER zal dan wel weer antwoorden met: "we zullen zien" of "het is afwachten" of "de fabriek is hard aan het werk om verbeteringen door te voeren". Hopelijk komt er wel wat nieuws naar voren..

      @MASF1 Ik hoop stiekem wel dat ze naar Jos vragen. Ben erg benieuwd hoe Max ermee omgaat. Het lijkt me dat journalisten bij hem niet bang hoeven te zijn voor klappen. Als ik Max was, zou ik er in elk geval niet inhoudelijk op ingaan:

      —"Geen commentaar."
      —"Ik houd werk en privé gescheiden."
      —"Ik beantwoord alleen vragen over mijn werk."

    Benieuwd of Max nu wel wat interessants te melden heeft. Meestal komt er niet heel veel spectaculairs uit op een persconferentie om eerlijk te zijn. Wel direct na de race als hij voor de microfoon staat bij Jack Plooij...

    Voor mensen die niet alle fora afstruinen voor nieuws over Max kan zo'n persco best wel interessant zijn.

      Meest interessant is dat je het ze zelf hoort zeggen en, nog belangrijker, dat je ze ziet: lichaamstaal, gezichtsuitdrukking.

      Bij Ziggo doet Max altijd zijn verhaal na de race, ook de persco's na de race zenden ze uit dit seizoen.
