Beste kwalificatie ooit voor Jolyon Palmer

Na twee matige eerste Grand Prix loopt het voor Renault-coureur Jolyon Palmer tijdens de Grand Prix van Bahrein een stuk vlotter. De Brit start de race als tiende, zijn beste kwalificatie tot dusver in de Formule 1. De Brit is vooral blij dat hij een goede voorbereiding heeft gehad op de race, iets wat in de eerste twee races door verschillende oorzaken niet lukte.

"Het is voor het eerst dat ik het derde deel van de kwalificatie haal, dit is mijn beste kwalificatie in de Formule 1 tot dusver. Voor de kwalificatie liep het nog niet perfect, op een of andere manier haalden we niet alles uit de auto. Voor de kwalificatie hebben we de auto nog flink veranderd en viel het de goede kant op. Mijn rondje in Q3 was niet perfect, ik had nog sneller gekund. We verkeren in een goede uitgangspositie om punten te scoren", aldus Palmer in een reactie op de officiële website van Renault.

    Geniet ervan Jolyon.
    Je staat op Pole bij de deur zodra Renault een betere rijder kan vastleggen.

    En 1.3 sec langzamer dan je teamgenoot, echt beschamend slecht. Die moet er zo snel mogelijk uit.

      Renault moet even geduld hebben. Ze kijken vast naar Torro Rosso en wellicht Formula 2.

    Ere wie ere toe komt, heb hem vaak afgefakkeld en het blijft er nog steeds een die niet thuis hoort in F1, maar dit was top prestatie...hoewel the Hulk tikje sneller is en blijft.

      Blij dat je je mening een beetje bij draait ! 1.3 sec op je teamgenoot is natuurlijk alles behalve goed te noemen ! Als er geen grondige reden voor is dan is het zelfs beschamend , top 10 ofniet

    In VT gaat eea niet zo slecht, maar zodra het er op aankomt zijn er nogal wat fouten. Is dan de druk te hoog? Té geconsentreerd? Lijkt me een aardig probleem in een performance sport
