Max Verstappen spreekt steun uit voor Wings for Life hardloopwedstrijd

Vanuit zijn thuisbasis Monaco bereidt Max Verstappen zich voor op de Grand Prix van Spanje, die volgende weekend plaatsvindt. Verstappen keert dan terug naar de plek waar hij een jaar geleden historie schreef door als eerste Nederlander ooit een Formule 1-race te winnen. Verstappen postte gisteren een tweet waarin te zien is hoe hij zich in de heuvels rond Monaco fysiek voorbereid op de race. Ook spreekt de jonge Nederlander zijn steun uit voor de Wings for life wedstrijd, een hardloopwedstrijd voor het goede doel. 

Wings for life is een initiatief dat zich sterk maakt voor ondersteuning van mensen met een dwarslaesie. De stichting zamelt geld in om onderzoek te doen bij mensen die een dwarslaesie hebben. Wings for life is al jaren als partner aan Red Bull verbonden en Verstappen spreekt zijn steun uit aan de deelnemers van de hardloopwedstrijd en de mensen die door een dwarslaesie hun leven door moeten brengen in een rolstoel. 

De Wings for Life World Run vindt vandaag wereldwijd plaats. In Nederland vindt de start plaats in Breda.

      Men had bij RBR al een ontwerp voor 2018 klaar, voor het geval de ophanging afgekeurd zou worden en omdat volgend jaar sowieso die ophanging verboden zou worden.
      Ze kwamen dus in de problemen toen de ophanging al vóór Melbourne af werd gekeurd. Waarschijnlijk is dit dus de 2018 wagen, maar dat laatste is mijn eigen vermoeden.

      @playfast321 .. volgens dat verhaal zal de RB14 aankomende vrijdag worden gepresenteerd dus we weten snel genoeg of dit verhaal correct is! Hij geeft ook aan dat Max in de simulator 1,3 tot 1,5 sec sneller is ..
