Voor wie zich afvraagt welke banden de teams gekozen hebben voor de Grand Prix van Spanje dit weekend; de bandenselectie is voor de eerste vijf races van 2017 in handen van bandenleverancier Pirelli. Dat is ingegeven door de vele regelwijzigingen en de introductie van de bredere banden voor dit weekend.

De Italiaanse bandenfabrikant zal tot en met de Spaanse Grand Prix elk weekend twee setjes van de hardste compound die het genomineerd heeft meebrengen, vier setjes van de middelste compound en zeven setjes van de zachtste compound. Voor Barcelona komt dat neer op twee sets hard, vier sets medium en zeven sets zacht. Het is voor het eerst dit jaar dat de harde compound in actie komt tijdens een raceweekend.

  Dat denk ik ook, die gaan de team alleen in de training even gebruiken. Ik verwacht hem ook niet in de race terug, tenzij iemand geen setjes meer over heeft.

  denk dat het net zoiets wordt als vorig jaar: S-M-M. of eventueel een hoge slijtage van de banden S-S-M-M of S-M-M-S. de harde band is zoals Ricciardo al aangaf gewoonweg te hard.
