Weekend review: spanning en sensatie in Hockenheim

Afgelopen weekend zijn er enkele mooie races verreden in Hockenheim. Zowel de DTM- als de Formule 3 Euroseries-coureurs kwamen er in actie. De eerste Euroseries-race van het weekend werd verreden in de regen, terwijl een dag later de DTM-wedstrijd vol crashes en uitvallers zat.

DTM
De race in Hockenheim begon al met een flinke crash in de vierde bocht, de verlegde hairpin. Er waren meteen zes coureurs uitgeschakeld, terwijl er later nog eens drie moesten opgeven. Er kwamen slechts negen rijders aan de finish, waarvan Paul di Resta de sterkste bleek. Hij leidt nu het kampioenschap, omdat Bruno Spengler niet wist te scoren na een uitvalbeurt.

Formule 3 Euroseries
Het seizoen van de Euroseries is met de races in Hockenheim tot een einde gekomen. Edoardo Mortara mag zich de nieuwe kampioen noemen en won dit weekend de eerste race in Duitsland. De strijd om de tweede plaats in het kampioenschap werd beslist in het voordeel van Marco Wittmann, die Valtteri Bottas nipt voorbleef. Laurens Vanthoor eindigde zijn eerste seizoen in de Euroseries als zesde.

  Dus 4 van de top 5 scoort geen punten??? Das zeker een apart weekend.
  Het zou juist leuker zijn als de top 5 in omgekeerde volgorde over de streep komt ;) Extra spannend de laatste races. Misschien is het dan nog beter dat Webber geen punten haalt en de andere 4 dus in omgekeerde volgorde van het kampioenschap de punten verdeeld :D
