Dragen motoren Haas F1 in 2018 de naam Alfa Romeo?

Ferrari overweegt om de naam Alfa Romeo terug te brengen in de Formule 1. Die plannen heeft het Italiaanse merk al langer, maar volgens Auto Bild nemen ze langzaam maar zeker steeds concretere vormen aan. Ferrari zou de klantenmotoren voor Haas F1 Team volgend seizoen om willen dopen tot Alfa Romeo.

Auto Bild bericht dat de Scuderia met de gedachte speelt om de krachtbronnen voor klantenteam Haas F1 Team voor 2018 het stempel Alfa Romeo te geven. Dat zou dan ook gepaard gaan met een stoeltje voor Ferrari-testrijder Antonio Giovinazzi, die morgen al de eerste vrije training voor de Britse Grand Prix voor zijn rekening neemt namens de Amerikaanse renstal.

Ferrari-voorzitter Sergio Marchionne zei vorig jaar over zijn plannen met Alfa Romeo nog dit: "Ik denk niet aan sponsoring of branding, maar aan een volwaardig eigen team voor Alfa Romeo. We hebben de geschiedenis en de mogelijkheden. En onze neven bij Ferrari kunnen altijd een helpende hand toesteken. In plaats van het helpen van andere teams, of in combinatie met het helpen van andere teams, kunnen ze dan Alfa Romeo helpen."

    Liever meteen een eigen team voor Alfa Romeo. Maar als dit zou kunnen leiden tot een volledige overname door Alfa Romeo zou ik het toejuichen.

      Je had voor het seizoen gezegd dat Grosjean zeker was van een stoeltje, maar K-Mag laat zich dit seizoen weer echt van z'n goede kant zien

      rustig aan ALONSO :)
      HAAS zal zich niet laten overnemen door ALFA, daar is het ze nooit om te doen geweest om eerst een F1 team op poten te zetten om het vervolgens te laten overnemen.
      Maar mischien wel dezelfde weg bewandelen als HAAS deed met alle Ferrari onderdelen.

    Wellicht Romain toch naar Ferrari t.v.v Kimi met een jaarcontract en Antonio met Kevin in de Haas. Romain krijgt minimaal 1 seizoen om zich te bewijzen bij een top team. Win-win?

    Prima, als ik Ferrari was had ik HaasF1 met Chrysler laten rijden een Amerikaanse team met een Amerikaanse krachtbron. Lijkt me een win win voor FCA. Alfa is een niche merk snap niet echt wat de meerwaarde voor Alfa is. Ze doen nauwelijks aan racen tegenwoordig. HaasF1 kan met Chrysler in Amerika voor veel meer marketing zorgen aangezien Amerikanen veel gevoeliger zijn voor marketing.

    Ik snap ook niet waarom Volkswagen er niet in stapt kan je meteen Audi en Porsche promoten. Red Bull met Porsche en Toro Rosso met Audi zou ideaal zijn.

      Ik ben voor werk regelmatig in de US, maar heb nog geen Alfa zien rijden, weet niet of ze hier wel verkocht worden. Dit geld overigens ook voor alle Franse merken.

      De laatste Alfa's die in de USA werden verkocht waren de 75 maar dan als Milano. Alfa is nog wel ff in IndyCar actief geweest met een V8 turbo. Ik zie t niet zo positief, Alfa in de F1, Ferrari heeft de titels nodig, Alfa wordt dan een B team, terwijl juist hun geschiedenis in de toerwagen racerij zo rijk is. Doe daar wat mee

      Zullen ze inderdaad Alfa mee gaan promoten in de us. De 4C moest de herintroductie voor Alfa worden op de Amerikaanse markt samen met de Guilia en de Stelvio. Gezien de beperkte verkrijgbaarheid zijn de verkoopcijfers niet eens heel slecht. Met een beetje promotie erbij van Haas gaan de verkoopcijfers wellicht iets sneller stijgen.

      Heb even gezocht, er zitten dus wel dealers van Alfa in deze staat, maar niet in de stad waar ik zit, vandaar dat ik er geen zie. Misschien is het voor promotie doeleinden toch niet zo een slecht idee.

      Dat van Chrysler snap ik. Maar Porsche en Audi? Die hebben helemaal geen extra marketing nodig, ze hebben nog nooit zoveel auto's verkocht als nu.

    Alfa als team met ferrari motoren zou ik toejuichen.

    Een alfa sticker op een ferrari motor plakken niet eigenlijk. Iedereen weet immers dat het ding niet uit een alfa fabriek komt, net zoals iedereen weet dat de Tag heuer gewoon een omgestickerde renault is en hem ook renault noemt.

      Precies, hooguit breng je de naam ermee weer onder de aandacht, maar the real deal is het niet, en vind juist dat ze dat wel moeten nastreven. Juist nu ze weer echte auto's gaan maken die geen ge-rebadge de. Fiats met een ander jasje zijn.

      Alfa is een te mooi merk om als rebadge door het leven te gaan. Als ze dan iig nog constructeur zouden zijn heb je tenminste nog het idee dat er door alfa een chassis gebouwd wordt
