Overzicht van de diverse strategieën in Hongarije

De Hongaarse Grand Prix was strategisch gezien in grote lijnen voor iedereen hetzelfde. Vrijwel alle coureurs kozen voor een één-stopper, alleen de Sauber-rijders stopten twee keer. Max Verstappen reed in de voorhoede het langst door op zijn superzachte banden, maar daar had hij door de tijdstraf na de aanrijding met teamgenoot Daniel Ricciardo weinig aan. Bandenleverancier Pirelli fabriceerde dit mooie overzicht van de diverse strategieën in Hongarije.

Bij RBR gokten ze op de SC om zo het verlies van de tijdstraf te minimaliseren.
Ik denk dat ze jij Vandoorne en Palmer een zelfde gok namen. Helaas werkte het niet.

      Pirelli is veel te voorzichtig met de bandenkeuze. Ik begrijp niet waarom ze op deze baan de ultrasoft band niet meegenomen hebben.
      Ik denk dat door het conservatieve gedoe een hoop strategische verschillen om zeep geholpen worden. Zo vraag je erom dat het op zo'n baan een optocht gaat worden.

      @rimmer grotendeels ben ik het met je eens. Safetycar was het hopen op. Alleen de keuze om verstappen door te laten rijden pakte alsnog goed uit. Ten eerste bleef hij het middenveld voor en verloor daar geen tijd. Ten tweede pareerde hij de ronde tijden van Vettel. De afstand bleef hetzelfde, alleen hij kreeg in de laatste stint nog een 12 rondere verse band vergeleken met Ham/Bot.

    Er is nog geen Williams draadje, dus plant het hier maar. Hoe groot is kans dat Massa ook in Spa er niet bij is?

    Hij schijnt het zelfde te hebben als Brundle (en nog 10 in paddock) en die was er dit weekend nog niet.

    Dus 2 á 3 weken uitgeschakeld kunnen we wel aannemen als zekerheid verwacht ik. Maar dan moet hij nog de verloren conditie van die 3 weken inhalen lijkt me.

    Ik zou dus niet verbaasd zijn dat we DiResta in Spa terug zien in de wagen. Anderen gedachte/nieuws hier over?

      Welke conditie. Dat Di Resta instapt en het redelijk makkelijk vol heeft gehouden zegt genoeg. Is allemaal huilie huilie.

      Is sowieso een goed idee om DiResta er in te zetten trouwens. Prima alternatief voor Massa en wie weet geeft Mercedes nog korting ook dan. Massa kost een berg met knaken voor Wiliams. Familie Stroll is blij omdat zoonlief nu een paar keer voor DiResta staat nog. Win win situatie.

      Laat Massa dan in Brazilië afscheid 2.0 geven, even de auto uitgang pits parkeren, rondje langs de baan huillie huillie lopen met vlaggetje en klaar.
