Sergio Perez: "Singapore een van de zwaarste races"

De Grand Prix van Singapore is een van de meest veeleisende circuits van het Formule 1-seizoen. Die conclusie trekt Force India-coureur Sergio Perez aan de vooravond van het weekend op het stratencircuit. Singapore is voor de tiende keer gastheer voor een Formule 1-race. De hoge luchtvochtigheidsgraad in combinatie met een technisch circuit maakt het zwaar.

Perez: "Singapore is absoluut een van de zwaarste races van het jaar. Het is zo drukkend warm, een ware beproeving voor een coureur. Ik ben goed voorbereid om te racen in de hitte. Soms voel je je echt ongemakkelijk in de auto en dan wil je dat de race zo snel mogelijk afgelopen is. Het is lastig ademhalen, je zweet je kapot en dat zweet stroomt in je ogen. Maar het blijft een speciale avond en een van de beste races van het seizoen."

"Ik heb tot nu toe elke keer punten gescoord in Singapore, ik hoop die reeks komend weekend voort te zetten. Het is moeilijk een favoriete bocht te benoemen, ze bevallen me allemaal wel. Ik hou van stratencircuits en dit is een speciaal rondje. Je hebt geen ruimte voor fouten, de muur staat erg dichtbij. Een slippertje resulteert gelijk in schade. Ons doel is uiteraard om punten te scoren."

    Dat is algemeen bekent. Max traint zelfs in een sauna om hier het beste mee om te kunnen gaan.

      Dat is nog niks!
      Papa stroll heeft een staat in de woestijn opgekocht en volledig laten overkappen en er een sprinklersysteem in laten zetten. Daar traint Lance al weken in een onopvallende overall met blanco helm in een onopvallende 2012 Williams. Had ik al vermeld dat dit allemaal stiekum en onopvallend gebeurde?

    Lees net op Sky en Formel1 dat Sainz op leenbasis naar Renault zal gaan en na 2018 gewoon weer voor RBR inzetbaar zal zijn...

      Zou mooi matchen. Ik denk dat of Max of Ricc(of alle 2 niet) niet meer na volgend jaar voor RBR rijden. Stel je bent Ferrari of Mercedes... Voor wie ga je dan in 2019? Ik had het wel geweten. Ik riep dit al een jaar geleden: Max rijdt in een benz in 2019 en Ric in een Ferrari. Kan Sainz mooi instappen bij RB met een mooi talent ernaast.
