Magnussen prijst wedstrijdleiding voor lef in Singapore

De wedstrijdleiding krijgt niet vaak complimentjes, al helemaal niet van coureurs. Vaak voelen de rijders zich te streng behandeld en benadeeld. Daarom is het wel bijzonder dat Kevin Magnussen van Haas F1 Team nu een goed woordje over heeft voor de wedstrijdleiding.

De Deen prijst de beslissing om de Grand Prix van Singapore ondanks de natte baan gewoon van start te laten gaan, zonder rondjes achter de safety car. "De omstandigheden maakten het listig, maar ook leuk. Het was uitdagend, maar goed van de Formule 1 dat ze de wedstrijd met een staande start op gang hebben gebracht en niet van achter de safety car", aldus Magnussen.

Het leverde een spectaculaire race op. Magnussen zelf haalde door een elektrisch probleem de finish niet, maar de Deen had zich wel vermaakt gedurende de vijftig rondjes die hij reed. Hij vocht onder meer een mooi duel uit met Williams-collega Felipe Massa.

Dus als je rijdt als een debiel, tegen je collega's zegt 'suck my balls' maar verder eigenlijk niks te melden hebt op de baan dan ben je een mooie vent?
Wordt steeds gekker hier.

Als de wedstrijdleiding echt lef had gehad dan had Vettel op z'n minst een reprimande of een paar punten aan de broek... [Lees verder]

    Mooie vent die Magnussen, zorgt voor veel actie en dat is altijd leuk. Niet per se een goede coureur (hij delft ook het onderspit tegen Grosjean) maar voor ons als kijker leuk. Zo vond ik Maldonado ook altijd lachen (niet goed, maar er gebeurde wel vaak wat).

      Helemaal mee eens. Een echte kerel, in tegenstelling tot zijn teammaat die weer riep dat het onverantwoord was om te starten op een nat Singapore. Ik mag KMAG wel.

      Wat een onzin Beemerdude,

      Hulkenberg had kunnen weten dat dat zou gebeuren in Hongarije maar wilde zelf geen eieren voor z'n geld kiezen.

      Het is juist goed dat er iemand zijn positie nog verdedigd.

      Lijkt erop dat Magnussen de nieuwe Irvine of Montoya wil zijn ofzo, alleen dan in zijn geval om zijn mindere rijkwaliteiten te verbloemen en toch cool gevonden te worden.
      Bij iemand als Montoya kwam het toch allemaal wat echter over, met name ook omdat hij op de baan hele gave dingen liet zien.

      Nee ik heb weinig met Magnussen.

    Flink mes in de rug van zijn teammaat die het starten onder de regen maar levensgevaarlijk noemde? Ik mag hem wel die K-Mag.

    Des FIA's om juist hier gewoon een staande start te houden. Goed dat ze het deden, maar snap vaak niet die inconsistentie.

    Zo hoort het ook.. De meeste coureurs startte zelfs op de intermediates, dus het was belachelijk geweest om niet normaal te starten..
