Huub Rothengatter viert vandaag zijn 63ste verjaardag

Oud Formule 1-coureur Huub Rothengatter is vandaag jarig. De Nederlander heeft de leeftijd van 63 jaar bereikt. Rothengatter was tussen 1984 en 1986 actief op het hoogste niveau. Namens teams als Spirit, Osella en Zakspeed verscheen hij 25 keer aan de start van een Grand Prix. Punten scoorde hij niet. Voor het grote publiek geniet hij meer bekendheid als de voormalige manager van Jos Verstappen. De felicitaties gaan uit naar de jarige Rothengatter.

Maar ook de man die als Jos’ manager regelmatig zijn hand overspeelde. Zoals het contract dat Eddie Jordan stuurde en terug ontving met een nulletje achter het geboden bedrag. Dat ging niet door. Diverse personen zeiden ook over Jos: good driver, bad manager.
