Gridstraffen voor Ricciardo, Gasly en Hartley in Brazilië

Red Bull Racing-coureur Daniel Ricciardo en Scuderia Toro Rosso-rijders Pierre Gasly en Brendon Hartley hebben een grid penalty voor de Braziliaanse Grand Prix geïncasseerd. Alle drie hebben ze hun achtste MGU-H van dit seizoen laten monteren, wat hen tien plaatsen straf oplevert.

Voor Gasly en Hartley lopen de gridstraffen mogelijk nog op. Beiden kampten in de eerste vrije training met motorische problemen. Bij Hartley ging de krachtbron in rook op door problemen met de oliedruk. Gasly en Hartley kwamen in de eerste sessie in totaal maar tot zeven rondjes.

Ricciardo beschikt in Brazilië tevens over een verse Control Electronics en Energy Store. Dat gaat niet gepaard met plaatsen straf, voor die componenten is de Australiër toe aan zijn vierde exemplaar van dit seizoen. Coureurs mogen van elk onderdeel van de aandrijflijn maximaal vier exemplaren per jaar gebruiken.

    Lees net het blijde nieuws, dat een F1 race op Zandvoort mogelijk is na aanpassingen.
    De Holland Heineken race zou wel mooi zijn.

    F1 hier zo snel mogelijk een oplossing voor bedenken. Heb liever dat coureurs tijdens de race bijvoorbeeld 5 seconden extra moeten wachten voordat het teams de pitstop mag uitvoeren dat is al meer dan genoeg.

    Het ergste is dat dit 3 rijders zijn met een Renault PU!
    Volgende jaar maar 3 motoren voor het hele seizoen, dus Renault moet niet alleen de snelheid verbeteren, maar ook nog eens de betrouwbaarheid gigantisch opkrikken.
    Wordt weer en zwaar jaar voor RBR!

      Het is inderdaad een heel slecht teken. Het lijkt mij dan ook niet in de lijn der verwachting dat ze zowel op snelheid als op betrouwbaarheid een gigantische stap gaan maken.
