Geen F1-moment genomineerd voor 'Actie van het Jaar'

Max Verstappen zal niet voor de vierde achtereenvolgende keer de award voor 'Actie van het Jaar' op mogen halen bij het gala van de internationale autosportbond FIA in december. De Nederlander is ditmaal niet genomineerd, net als geen enkele van zijn Formule 1-collega's.

Verstappen won tot nu toe alle uitgaves van deze prijs, die in 2014 in het leven is geroepen. Dat jaar reed de Nederlander nog in de Formule 3 en verdiende hij de award voor een inhaalactie ten opzichte van Antonio Giovinazzi op Imola. In 2015 kreeg hij de prijs voor een inhaalactie op Felipe Nasr buitenom in Blanchimont op Spa-Francorchamps en in 2016 werd Verstappen uitgeroepen tot winnaar vanwege een inhaalactie op Nico Rosberg in bocht 3 op Interlagos.

Dit jaar komt er dus een andere winnaar. De FIA heeft tien momenten genomineerd, allen uit andere takken van autosport dan de Formule 1, variërend van het WEC tot het WRC, het WTCC en de Formule 3. Bekijk hier alle genomineerde acties voor 'Actie van het Jaar'. De stembureaus zijn geopend.

    Jammer, actie op Raikkonen was top (COTA) en er zijn nog 2 races te gaan.
    We kunnen nog wel een mooi moment verwachten.
    Wat er nu staat is wmb niet echt spectaculair; supersave is dan de leukste vind ik.

    Actie van het jaar is voor mij dat de Chinees Giovanassi in ze thuis wedstrijd ze Sauber in de Chinese muur pakeert.

    Als de FIA écht ballen had gehad dan hadden ze natuurlijk de actie van Verstappen op Raikkonnen er bij gezet. Maar dat hebben ze maar niet gedaan want ze weten donders goed dat Verstappen dan weer met OVERMACHT had gewonnen. Dat zou een behoorlijke 'slap in the face' zijn van de stewards en Charlie Whiting.

      Die actie was illegaal. Je kan inderdaad argumenteren dat meer mensen straf hadden verdiend, maar volgens mij niet dat de inhaalactie volgens de regels was.

    Als die RB13 wat minder ermee had genokt dit seizoen, had er misschien nog een mooie actie kunnen zijn geweest.

    Met nog 2 races te gaan in de F1 is het zot dat de nominaties nu al bekend zijn.

    Stel brazilië is straks toch weer nat, of we worden getracteerd op een zeer fraaie actie ergens binnendoor buitenom erover heen, is de mooiste actie van dit jaar straks niet eens genomineerd
