Wie rijdt wanneer tijdens eerste wintertest van 2018?

De eerste test ter voorbereiding op het nieuwe Formule 1-seizoen begint morgen op het Circuit de Catalunya nabij Barcelona. De meeste teams hebben inmiddels een testschema voor deze eerste week naar buiten gebracht. Hieronder is een handig overzicht van wie wanneer rijdt te vinden.

Nog niet alle renstallen hebben hun plannen geopenbaard. Zo heeft Mercedes nog niets laten weten, al is de verwachting dat de Duitse renstal coureurs Lewis Hamilton en Valtteri Bottas weer halve dagen laat rijden. Renault lijkt die tactiek te kopiëren voor rijders Nico Hülkenberg en Carlos Sainz.

Bij Williams is het helemaal een duiventil, met naast de reguliere coureurs Lance Stroll en Sergey Sirotkin ook testrijder Robert Kubica in een schema vol halve dagen. Max Verstappen komt op dinsdag en donderdag in actie voor Red Bull Racing, gewoon de hele dag (als het goed is).

Wat is het voordeel van de dag opsplitsen voor twee coureurs?

Enige dat ik kan bedenken is dat ze niet moe zijn aan het eind van de dag?

  Ja, ik denk om die reden. Het maximale uit de test halen, scherp blijven. Maar is denk ook een stukje voorkeur en eerlijk verdelen denk ik.

  Williams' optie is zo ook wel interessant. Want Kubica rijdt, maar beide race coureurs zijn wel op 3 dagen actief.
