Max Verstappen wil weer mooie show weggeven op Zandvoort

Red Bull Racing-coureur Max Verstappen was vandaag in Zandvoort aanwezig bij de presentatie van de Jumbo Racedagen 2018. De jonge Nederlander is natuurlijk de grote publiekstrekker voor dit evenement, hoewel hij bij de komende editie wel gezelschap krijgt van teamgenoot Daniel Ricciardo en voormalig Formule 1-rijder David Coulthard. Verstappen kijkt al uit naar het pinksterweekend van 20 en 21 mei, wanneer de Jumbo Racedagen op het programma staan.

Hij vertelde aan de verzamelde pers: "Er is natuurlijk weer veel spektakel. Een Formule 1-auto met mooi geluid, dat is altijd goed om te horen. Er zijn altijd veel mensen aanwezig. Het programma zat vorig jaar goed in elkaar en dat dit jaar net zo zijn. We gaan weer plezier hebben en een mooie show weggeven."

"Het mooie aan Zandvoort vind ik dat het heel moeilijk is om naar de limiet toe te rijden. Op sommige circuits rij je bijvoorbeeld na twee ronden al vol over de kerbstones en op het randje. Hier heb je wel een paar ronden nodig om dat op te bouwen. Dat maakt het zo bijzonder."

Jumbo-directeur Frits van Eerd over de komende editie van de Jumbo Racedagen: "Het is natuurlijk niet voor de hand liggend om als supermarkt een race-evenement op te zetten. Maar het merk Jumbo staat niet alleen voor mooie supermarkten, maar ook voor mooie evenementen en voor topsport. Autosport is natuurlijk topsport en na een paar jaar nadenken hebben we de Jumbo Racedagen opgericht en ieder jaar spreken we van een groot succes. Het overtreft mijn eigen verwachtingen."

      Wat Max zeikerds zijn jullie toch. Nee laten we lekker chagerijnig zijn omdat hij een fout maakt. Kom op man. Iedereen weet dat hij een uitzonderlijk talent is. Zulke fouten mag en kan hij maken vind ik. De eerst volgende keer dat hij weer een sublieme race rijd is hij weer het mannetje. Of mogen we dan weer niet enthousiast zijn?

      Ik vind het bericht hierboven van Max ook net zo voorspelbaar. Wat dscht je dan? Dat hij gaat zeggen dat hij hoopt dit jaar een slechte show weg te geven? Man man man.

    Lekker belangrijk... bijzaken, randverschijnselen, maar VET leuk voor kinderen en pubertjes... En ongetwijfeld Verstappen zn portemonnee..... Wat Ricciardo opstrijkt om naar zo,n onbenullig evenement te komen zal wel helemaal gigantische zijn ....
