Fernando Alonso wil niets kwijt over vertrek technisch directeur

Fernando Alonso wil niet veel zeggen over het vertrek van technisch directeur Tim Goss bij het team van McLaren. De Spanjaard is van mening dat personele wijzigingen in een team een doorlopend proces is en dat het volstrekt normaal is. 

Tim Goss de zondebok

Afgelopen week bracht BBC Sport het nieuws Tim Goss de zondebok wordt van de slechte prestaties van de Britse renstal. Ondanks dat het team van motorleverancier wisselde en Renault verwelkomde in plaats van Honda is het team niet tevreden over de prestaties. Een woordvoerder van het Formule 1-team weigerde in te gaan op het vertrek van Tim Goss. 

Normale gang van zaken

Als Alonso door El Mundo Deportivo gevraagd wordt naar zijn kijk op de zaak zegt hij: "Ik heb er weinig aan toe te voegen. Soms worden wijzigingen door het team bekend gemaakt en soms niet. Het afgelopen jaar hebben wij meerdere malen wijzigingen doorgevoerd in het technische team en dat is normaal bij ieder team. Waar het om gaat is dat mensen op posities zitten waar je het beste uit ze kan halen en ik heb volledig vertrouwen in het team."

Ik blijf erbij dat Alonso geen teambuilder is. Overal en altijd vliegen er mensen uit met jarenlange staat van dienst, als Alonso teleurgesteld is over de prestaties.

    Van hem gaan we toch niet horen hoe het zit. Dat is logisch ook, daar is het personeel.ook niet voor.

    Het zal voor Alonso moeilijk zijn om te onderkennen dat McLaren tot nu toe teleurstelt. Vooral ook omdat hij in de aanloop erg positief was en hij als sponsor diplomatiek dient te blijven.

    Wat een rumoer bij McLaren de heletijd. Ik kan mij best voorstellen dat het een enorme chaos is binnen het team. Maar ze roepen dit ook enorm over zichzelf af. Telkens roepen hoe goed de wagen is, en dan valt het steeds zo tegen. De wagen is gewoon niet best, en de behaalde successen zijn van zo lang geleden. Relax en geef jezelf de tijd om weer een race te winnen.

      Ach anderen teams hebben in het recente verleden ook geroepen dat hun wagen goed was....Dus niets nieuws onder de zo'n.

    probleem van Mclaren ook ze gokken ook teveel op een kaart. er is meer onder de oppervlakte wat er speelt. denk zelf niet dat beide coureurs zelfde behandeling krijgt. buitenom dat stoffel een te aardige gast is. Maar eigenlijk last minute van motor wisselen kan je chassis nooit goed op afstemmen. Maar dit is ook al iets wat mclaren heel lang parten speelt... Redbull zal dat evenhard ook krijgen, ze zijn al bezig om Newey los te laten vorig jaar is newey nog te hulp geschoten en deze jaar ben volgendjaar benieuwd :)

    Het gaat op zijn zachts gezegd niet lekker bij McLaren en een hoop onrust onder de gelederen. Als ik het goed begrijp komen ze de volgende race met de nieuwe auto, welke eigenlijk al voor Melbourne was geplanned. Het eruit zetten van hun technisch directeur voorspelt weinigs goed wat betreft de nieuwe bolide en weten ze eigenlijk nu al dat deze niet gaat brengen wat ze gehoopt hadden. Jammer, zie ze heel graag vooraan meedoen.

    Het ontbreekt McLaren aan een echte leider.

      Ik ben ook bang dat je gelijk hebt. Waarom enerzijds je technisch directeur ontslaan, terwijl je anderzijds roept dat je vanaf Barcelona met een competitie auto komt? Dat klopt gewoon niet.

      Inderdaad, Alonso (die zichzelf de beste vindt) is al jaren geen team player. Hij had dit jaar al geen f1 coureur dienen te zijn, is mijn mening (want als je ergens anders gaan racen tijdens een f1 week-end, verdien je geen plaats meer). Maar vooral: hij schoffeert en wijst altijd naar anderen. Hij is negatief en zo iemand wil ik niet hebben in een hardwerkende organisatie.
