David Coulthard laat Vietnam kennis maken met Formule 1

Nadat Max Verstappen eerder deze week de straten van de Hongaarse hoofdstad Boedapest onveilig maakt met een Red Bull-auto uit 2012, was het gisteren de beurt aan oud Formule 1-coureur David Coulthard om Vietnam kennis te laten maken met de Formule 1. De Schot, die in de periode 2005 tot en met 2008 actief was voor Red Bull Racing gaf de RB8 de sporen op een parcours in Ho Chi Minh.

Bernie Ecclestone wilde koste wat kost een Grand Prix in Vietnam, maar het is de vraag of die er gaat komen nu Liberty Media aan het roer staat. Liberty Media wil een gezonde spreiding van races over de verschillende continenten en met vijf Grand Prix is Azië goed vertegenwoordigd op de kalender.

Aan het enthousiasme van de mensen in Vietnam zal het niet liggen: duizenden mensen kwamen af op het evenement georganiseerd door Red Bull Racing en Coulthard trakteerde de mensen op een mooie show in Ho Chi Minh.
