Lewis Hamilton pakt vijfde titel volgens Jenson Button

Een jaar geleden reed Jenson Button zijn laatste Grand Prix in de Formule 1. De Brit, in 2009 wereldkampioen met Brawn GP, stopte eind 2016 maar keerde in Monaco eenmalig terug om Fernando Alonso te vervangen. Alonso miste de Grand Prix van Monaco van vorig jaar, omdat de Spanjaard deelnam aan de Indy 500. Button komt tegenwoordig uit in de Japanse Super GT en doet ook mee aan de 24 uur van Le Mans.

Uiteraard volgt Button ook de Formule 1 nog steeds en volgens de oud-coureur van Benetton, Renault, BAR, Honda, Brawn GP en McLaren is de kans groot dat Lewis Hamilton dit seizoen zijn vijfde wereldtitel pakt: "Lewis heeft dit jaar nog niet zoveel hoeven te doen, maar toch staat hij weer bovenaan in het kampioenschap. Hij rijdt wederom erg sterk, zonder dat het echt opvalt. Niemand anders dan Lewis Hamilton zal de titel pakken dit jaar."

Button en Hamilton waren in de periode 2010 tot en met 2012 teamgenoten van elkaar bij het team van McLaren. Terwijl Hamilton sinds zijn overstap naar Mercedes vele successen kende sloot Jenson Button zijn loopbaan in de Formule 1 in de middenmoot en anonieme resultaten af.

Oke dus de kans is groot dat Lewis zijn 5de titel pakt maar niemand anders dan Lewis Hamilton zal de titel pakken dit jaar.
