Grosjean: "Haas verdiende een goed resultaat van mij"

Romain Grosjean reed tijdens de Grand Prix van Duitsland naar een nette zesde plek. De Fransman kende een sterk weekend, maar volgens Grosjean had zijn team dit ook wel verdiend na de incidenten van eerder in het seizoen.

Grosjean, kende met name een sterke slotfase op Hockenheim. De Fransman wisselde naar ultrasofts achter de safety car, waarna de Haas-rijder in staat was om van de tiende naar de zesde stek te rijden. "Het was leuk", aldus Grosjean. "Het was een goede slotfase van de race."

"We zaten niet helemaal juist qua bandenstrategie, aangezien het circuit op de een of andere manier snel opdroogde. Daarna hadden we wat geluk, het was een gok. We kwamen terug op slicks en ik had de grootste lol in de laatste paar ronden. Ik ging tot de limiet en ging ervoor. De jongens verdienden een goed resultaat van mij en ik had er plezier in."

      Als hij zijn dag heeft is het echt wel een erg goede en snelle coureur. Helaas erg inconsistent. Als hij dat in de tweede helft van dit seizoen weet te verbeteren en hij blijft zulke dikke puntenfinishes scoren, dan kan er nog best een contractverlenging inzitten voor Romain.

      Ik hoop van wel. Liever Grosjean in de F1 dan Stroll en Sirotkin. Met hem op de baan gebeurt er altijd wat, positief dan wel negatief. Ik hou daar van.

    GRO zit in een goede flow qua rijgedrag en resultaten en mag nog hopen op een stoeltje voor de komende jaren.

    Als die in zn element is rijdt hij rondes die je zou verwachten van een topteam rijder maar helaas hoeft er maar iets niet mee te zitten en dan is hij daar zo erg mee bezig tijdens t rijden. Die laatste rondes waren top in t buitje/kwart natte baan. Magnussen had wat meer moeite met de bui.... iets dat leek op een eenvoudige P5 voor hem.

      Magnussen nam toch gewoon de gok door te vroeg naar wets te gaan? Volgens mij was dat de reden dat Magnussen terug viel.

      Verder eens wat je zegt over Grosjean. Bij vlagen een briljante rijder, maar ook blij vlagen een pannenkoek. Veel podiumplekken behaald maar ook veel crashes gehad.
      Voor ons als kijker alleen maar leuk trouwens. De Haas coureurs zorgen doorgaans wel voor veel actie.
