Verstappen acht winst lastig op Hungaroring: "Je moet hier op pole staan"

Max Verstappen verwacht dat het lastig wordt om de Grand Prix van Hongarije te winnen. De Nederlander beseft dat de RB14 goed uit de voeten moet kunnen op de Hungaroring, maar de kwalificatievorm van Red Bull kan voor problemen zorgen.

"Over het algemeen moet je hier op pole staan om te winnen", vertelt Verstappen tegenover zijn eigen website. "Dat zal lastig worden. Maar ik denk wel dat we er dicht bij zullen zitten. Het is een van de kleinere circuits. In het eerste deel zitten nog wat rechte stukken, daar leveren we tijd in. In de tweede en de laatste sector kunnen we beter uit de voeten. Dus daar moeten we zorgen dat we de snelste zijn."

"Ik probeer natuurlijk elke race te winnen", vervolgt de Nederlander. "Het zou verkeerd zijn om mezelf meer druk op te leggen om een goed resultaat te halen, wetende dat ik hier meer kans maak. Ik wil altijd een goed resultaat halen, ook al ga ik naar Monza. Daar verwacht ik niet te winnen, maar ik wil er toch een goed resultaat halen."

Ik denk ook dat de rode wagens weer vooraan staan, maar hopelijk kunnen dr Red Bulls beter mee dit jaar. Ik vrees echter weer voor een optocht, al hoop ik dat Vettel weer voldoende punten terug kan snoepen t.o.v. van Hamilton.

    Ik denk ook dat de rode wagens weer vooraan staan, maar hopelijk kunnen dr Red Bulls beter mee dit jaar. Ik vrees echter weer voor een optocht, al hoop ik dat Vettel weer voldoende punten terug kan snoepen t.o.v. van Hamilton.

      "Gewoon pole rijden".. Laat dat nou net de zwakke plek van Red Bull zijn, de kwalificatie.. Alleen in Monaco was/is het voordeel dat ze halen uit hun betere chassis genoeg om de achterstand qua vermogen van de Renault motor goed te maken en pole te pakken.. Probleem is ook dat Ferrari nu ook sneller is geworden en die zijn ook niet slecht op dit soort banen.. We gaan het morgen wel zien, maar ik vrees dat het weer hooguit de 2e startrij wordt voor Max.. In de race zal hij dan waarschijnlijk hooguit 3e kunnen worden als er geen rare dingen gebeuren..

      Nou, pfff.. de thermostaat geeft nu 31? graden aan!! Gisteravond beetje gerommel gehoord en dacht even dat er regen kwam... helaas, Rotterdam heeft wel flink op z'n falie gehad met een dode als diepte punt.. Boom op cabrio, geen kans.. (veel sterkte aan nabestaanden).
      Dus als het komt @PietjeBell, zet je schrap en blijf binnen.

      Boven is het hier 31 en beneden 30 !! En het wordt nog warmer!!
      Loop je even naar buiten, blijkt het al 35 in de schaduw te zijn
      en het einde is nog lang niet in zicht, want de warmte in huis krijg
      je er voorlopig niet uit. Tegen kou kun je je wapenen, maar dit.......

      Ik geniet met volle teugen van het mooie weer!
      De laatste keer dat wij zo'n mooie zomer hebben gehad is denk ik 30 jaar geleden.
      We zijn het gewoon niet meer gewend met al die kwakkel zomers van de afgelopen jaren.

    Max heeft 12pk'tjes meer dan Ric door nieuwe brandstof, Ric kan daar geen gebruik van maken omdat hij door alle ellende met een oude spec moet rijden.

    Podium is waarschijnlijk wel haalbaar, en ik hoop dat Vettel wint na alles wat er met hem en bij Ferrari is gebeurd. Emo tv 2.0 wil ik zien Zondag, krijg nu al kippenvel als ik eraan denk (ondanks die pleurishitte).

      Ik hoop dat Verstappen wint.
      Ik snap alle emotie wel , dat die bij Ferrari heerst, maar het is tegenwoordig blijkbaar onmogelijk voor andere teams daar niet ook aan mee te doen.
      Zal de social media wel zijn. Daar zullen ze wel vinden dat ze Ferrari moeten laten winnen.
