Kamui Kobayashi voelt zich klaar om Sauber bij de hand te nemen

Kamui Kobayashi bracht vorig seizoen door aan de zijde van routiniers Pedro de la Rosa en Nick Heidfeld. Dit jaar is hij de ervaren man bij Sauber. De Japanner heeft namelijk gezelschap gekregen van debutant Sergio Perez.

En Kobayashi gaat de verantwoordelijkheid niet uit de weg. "Het gevoel is net als vorig jaar opwindend, maar mijn rol is anders. Voor ervaring kijken ze nu naar mij. Het is een uitdaging, maar ik ben klaar voor het leiderschap."

"Het doel voor 2011 is om vanaf het begin van het seizoen punten te scoren. Dat was in 2010 een probleem. Om hoge ogen te gooien bij de constructeurs moeten we nu vanaf het begin er staan. En persoonlijk is mijn doelstelling om geen fouten te maken."
