Kimi Raikkonen en Maurizio Arrivabene in persconferentie FIA

Aankomende donderdag wordt het weekend traditioneel afgetrapt met de persconferentie van de coureurs. Daarin zullen Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), Brendon Hartley (Toro Rosso), Kevin Magnussen (Haas) en Kimi Raikkonen (Ferrari) plaatsnemen. De persconferentie zal om 18.00 uur lokale tijd aftrappen. 

Het is de vraag of de coureurs buiten Raikkonen om veel aan het woord zullen komen, want de Fin staat op dit moment in de schijnwerpers. Eerder vandaag werd bekend dat Raikkonen het team van Ferrari aan het eind van het seizoen gaat verlaten en terugkeert naar zijn debuutteam, Sauber. 

Op vrijdag zijn de teamleden aan de beurt. Dan zullen aanschuiven: Maurizio Arrivabene (Ferrari), Gil de Ferran (McLaren), Guenther Steiner (Haas) en Frederic Vasseur (Sauber). Deze persconferentie zal om 18.30 lokale tijd beginnen.

Ook hier lijkt de Ferrari-teambaas aan de tand gevoeld gaan worden. De journalisten zullen willen weten waarom er door Ferrari is gekozen voor de jonge Charles Leclerc boven de ervaren Kimi Raikkonen.

      Vind dat bowah of hoe het ook heet een beetje flauw worden eerlijk gezegd. Afgezaagde grap inmiddels die ver voorbij datum is. Maar ieder zijn ding uiteraard hoor!

      Zo heeft elke coureur zijn uitspraken, destijds bijvoorbeeld met Montoya (voor wie hem kent met al die nieuwkomers) met heel vaak: you know? kijk maar eens op joetoep teruggggg......

      Ik vind Kimi's steering wheel opmerking daarintegen echt ongeevenaard, wat heb ik in mijn broek staan zeiken van het lachen toen ik die hoorde. Aan de andere lant, wie bwoah leest, weet waar het over gaat, Kimi!!

    Dit wordt zo'n Massa verhaaltje. Hij is blij terug te keren bij het team waar hij ooit begonnen is, en hoopt het team naar de top te brengen. Om vervolgens volgend jaar te zeggen dat het klaar is.

    Wat ik nog steeds niet snap is dat bijvoorbeeld een Ricciardo of Verstappen het wel lukt om overwinningen te pakken en een Kimi en Valteri dat zeer moeijlijk kunnen doen.

    Ze rijden in de beste wagens en op een pech race daargelaten zitten er vaak totaal niet bij en een gastje als Verstappen pompt het er toch wel uit.

    Ik ben een fan van Kimi en kan hem soms ook wel vervloeken maar als ik heel erg eerlijk ben dan zie ik toch liever een Leclerc in die Ferrari en laten we hopen dat Bottas ook heel snel vervangen wordt zodat daar ook weer is wat vuur op Hamilton wordt gegooid.

    2019 wordt nu al een bizar seizoen met alle wissels incl Honda in de RB.
    En ik hoop dat Kimi nog zekers laat zien dat deze man alles in zich heeft en ons nog van een paar mooie races laat genieten en dan nog een jaar met de alpha's !

      Ik snap het wel, het is de filosofie van een team blijkbaar waarin vrij mogen rijden toch beperkt wordt. Over het algemeen is dat altijd zo geweest en RedBull Racing was een verademing hierin want andere filosofie.

      Destijds bij McLaren en Williams en Benetton was er ook een duidelijke hierarchie te bespeuren alsmede Ferrari hoor. Hoewel ik de tijd met Berger en Alesi als gelijkwaardig beschouw. Periode Schumacher vs Irvine, Barrichello moge duidelijk zijn..
