Alonso: "McLaren moet zich richten op de betrouwbaarheid"

McLaren-coureur Fernando Alonso viel uit in de laatste twee races, in Spa en Monza en dat waren zeker niet de eerste uitvalbeurten voor de Spanjaard. Dat gebeurde eerder ook al in Monaco, Canada, Frankrijk en Duitsland. De wedstrijden die hij wel finishte, belandde hij ook meteen in de punten. Alonso vindt dan ook dat zijn team zich moet richten op de betrouwbaarheid. 

"Ondanks de dubbele uitvalbeurt op Spa en Monza, hebben we wel wat snelheid gevonden op de zondag in Italië. Het is dan ook belangrijk om ons te richten op de betrouwbaarheid, want in Singapore liggen er kansen voor ons. We moeten er het maximale uithalen, punten zijn nog steeds het doel."

Alonso weet dat dat hoe dan ook moeilijk gaat worden. "Het veld zit erg dicht op elkaar. We weten dat we er aan moeten werken om de snelheid te behouden en sneller moeten ontwikkelen dan onze concurrenten. Ik kijk uit naar de nachtrace in Singapore en het is altijd een geweldig weekend voor ons en de fans."

      Het is niet alleen de auto, er werken hele goeie mensen bij dat team. Maar niet iedereen zit op de juiste plek.

      Om te beginnen Ron Dennis terughalen als puinruimer en Zak Brown commercieel manager maken daar lijkt ie veel beter in te zijn

      Ten 2e die Renaultmotor op de sloop gooien en met knikkende knietjes terug naar Honda gaan , aangezien die t toch echt een heel stuk beter voor elkaar lijken te krijgen dan renault .

      Een fatsoenlijke Ontwerper aanstellen , die ook Qua earodynamica / Chassis van de hoed en de rand weet


      Ik denk dat je dan al een heel eind komt

    Advies: Richt je juist eerst op meer snelheid en DAN pas op meer betrouwbaarheid. In de Formule 1 geld een gouden regel: Het is makkelijker om een snelle auto betrouwbaar te maken dan een betrouwbare auto sneller.

    McLaren is nu al erg langzaam, er zijn drastische maatregelen nodig met de auto, op safe spelen is geen optie meer.

      Juist Damon, en daarom snap ik ook niet dat McLaren met een B-spec Renault blijft rondtuffen. Ze rijden toch al achter de feiten aan dit jaar.

      Advies: richt je op het aspect dat het snelst de resultaten kan verbeteren. Het team kan zelf het beste inschatten of dat snelheid of betrouwbaarheid is.

      @Darlos inbouwen C spec kost volgens RBR minimaal een miljoen aan ombouwen auto. Ik kan me voorstellen dat het kleine voordeel in die paar resterende races niet opweegt tegen de kosten als ze die al kunnen betalen. Er is maar 1 team die prestatie boven geld stelt en dat is RBR. Zelfs Renault wacht.

    Bizar eigenlijk hoeveel punten Alonso nog heeft weten te halen in dit verrotte hok. En dan zijn er serieus nog mensen die vinden dat Alonso zijn beste tijd heeft gehad.

      @damon hill Zal nooit gebeuren. Alonso accepteert nooit een 2e plek sterker nog die eist een 1e plek en het enige wat tegen hem is. zijn de keuzes die hij heeft gemaakt naast de baan in zijn verleden hij heeft nog al eens stampij gemaakt bij zijn werkgevers.
      Op de baan is hij nog altijd een van de snelste zelfs nu nog moeilijk in te halen met dat hok van een auto.

    Zelfs zijn directeur heeft al aangegeven dat het dit jaar niks meer wordt dus uitzitten en werken aan de auto van volgend jaar dit kan ze hooguit een plekje kosten echter er is al zo veel geld in de denkbeeldige put verdwenen dat dit ook niet meer uitmaakt.

      De vraag is of Pat Fry goed genoeg is om in zijn ééntje twee engineers te vervangen, namelijk Tim Goss en Matt Morris
      James Key kunnen ze ten vroegste 2020 verwachten.
      Ondertussen weten ze nog steeds niet waar de chassis en aero problemen zitten.

    Volgens mij is betrouwbaarheid al 5 seizoenen een dingetje. Dit advies had ik voor de helft van Alonso z'n salaris gegeven.
