Grosjean: "Vierde of vijfde zou een geweldige prestatie zijn voor Haas"

Lange tijd leek het team van Haas de grootste kans te hebben op de vierde plek bij de constructeurs. De laatste races is het Amerikaanse team echter wat weggezakt en daarmee lijkt die vierde plek geen haalbare kaart meer. Toch vindt Romain Grosjean het sowieso een geweldig seizoen voor Haas.

"We kijken altijd naar de klassementen. De verschillen zijn klein. We hebben wat grond verloren in de Grands Prix van de Verenigde Staten en Mexico en dat is jammer. We gaan proberen om dat recht te zetten en daarvoor zullen we honderd procent geven."

Het Amerikaanse team moet wellicht echter meer naar achteren kijken. De achterstand op de vierde plek van Renault is namelijk 30 punten, terwijl de voorsprong op de zesde plek van McLaren slechts 22 punten is. "Het heeft veel waarde voor ons. Vierde of vijfde worden, zou een grote prestatie zijn voor het Haas F1 team. Het is tenslotte pas het derde seizoen van het team."
