Deletraz voelt vertrouwen vanuit het team van Haas

Louis Deletraz test na de laatste race in Abu Dhabi voor het team van Haas en de Zwitser gelooft dat die test naar grotere dingen kan leiden, met een racezitje als ultieme doel. Eerder deze maand maakte Haas bekend dat Deletraz op de tweede dag zal testen. Aan de testsessie doen alle teams mee en er wordt vooral op gericht om de nieuwe Pirelli-banden van 2019 onder de knie te krijgen.

"Gene Haas en Guenther Steiner zijn echte sportmensen en hebben een goede mentaliteit", zegt Deletraz tegenover Autosport. "Ik denk dat ze van de uitdaging houden en dat ze potentieel zien in mij. Ze zijn blij dat ze me kunnen testen op resultaten en daarna gaan we kijken hoe het verder gaat."

"Mijn volgende stap is natuurlijk een zitje in de Formule 1. Deze testsessie is de eerste stap en ik wil veel leren, snel zijn en goede feedback geven. Maar het gaat niet alleen om mij, want de banden voor 2019 moeten ook worden getest. Haas verwacht dat ik het goed ga doen en ik ga er alles aan doen om ze te helpen."
