Buemi voelt druk van Ricciardo en kweekt spiermassa

Scuderia Toro Rosso-coureur Sebastien Buemi gaat tegen de trend van steeds lichter wordende coureurs in. Veel rijders zijn afgevallen met het oog op de terugkeer van KERS. Een systeem dat vrij zwaar weegt waardoor coureurs minder met ballastgewicht de balans kunnen reguleren.

Om dat te compenseren gingen sommige rijders op dieet, maar niet Buemi. Blick bericht dat hij met zijn nieuwe trainer Antti Kontsas hard getraind heeft en drie kilo is aangekomen. Volgens de Zwitserse krant pure spiermassa. Buemi: Ik weeg nu 66 kilo. Dit met het oog op een belangrijk jaar voor de Zwitser, wiens positie onder druk staat door de aanwezigheid van aanstormend talent Daniel Ricciardo. Buemi voelt het: Ik moet in Bahrein in zowel de kwalificatie als de race voor Jaime Alguersuari eindigen.
