Raikkonen ziet Ferrari snel weer kampioen worden

Kimi Raikkonen denkt dat Ferrari snel weer kampioen zal worden. In 2017 en 2018 streed het Italiaanse team met Mercedes voor het kampioenschap, maar legde het in beide jaren af. Raikkonen won in 2007 de rijderstitel voor Ferrari en hij is de laatste die dat voor elkaar heeft gekregen.

"Toen ik er aankwam stond Jean Todt aan het hoofd van het team. Hij blijft een geweldig karakter, ook al vervult hij nu een andere functie. Gelukkig blijven we elkaar zien gedurende de weekenden. Dat vind ik geweldig", zegt Raikkonen tegenover Sky Sport Italia. 

"Na hem hebben we verschillende teambazen gehad. Ik weet niet eens meer hoeveel. Met Maurizio Arrivabene is het geweldig geweest. Hij is de juiste persoon om Ferrari terug te brengen waar het hoort en ik ben hem veel schuldig voor mijn terugkeer."

Raikkonen blijft de laatste coureur die een rijderstitel heeft gewonnen voor Ferrari, maar hij denkt niet dat hij die eer nog lang blijft houden. "Ik wens het team het allerbeste en ik weet zeker dat ze weer kampioen gaan worden, misschien zelfs al in de nabije toekomst. Ieder record blijft niet lang staan en er zal altijd iemand zijn die het overneemt. Dat is hoe het leven werkt."

Ik denk dat het een harde strijd gaat worden tussen Hamilton/Vettel/Verstappen, waar bij de RB de eerste races iets achterblijft maar wel waardevolle punten pakt. Daarna gaat de RBR over de Marc en Ferrari heen.

    Hamilton wordt ''gewoon'' kampioen volgend jaar. Vettel/Verstappen/Bottas/Leclerc/Gasly mogen gaan strijden er achter. Maar ik hoop wel dat RB inmiddels Ferrari bij kan houden en in de 2e helft van het seizoen druk kan zetten op Mercedes.


    Ja dit zijn voorspellingen en die moet je nooit geloven. Maar ik denk dat het zo een beetje zal lopen.

      Ik niet. Ik geloof er (jammer genoeg) geen bal van dat RBR ook maar iets kan doen tegen Mercedes en Ferrari. Ik hoop dat ik heel erg ongelijk heb.......maar ik denk het niet.

      Je hebt geen glazen bol, en zowel moet je die echt eens afstoffen. Dat Lewis volgend jaar mee gaat doen om de prijzen kan iedere driekwarter verzinnen, daarbij is je toevoeging dan ook 0,0. Honda gaat volgend jaar helemaal niet mee doen ik zeg 3e op ruimere afstand dan dit jaar wellicht 4e achter Renault. Waarom??? Omdat deze motorformule nog niet eens de 50% thermische efficiency bereikt heeft en de kans dat Honda hier Ferrari maar vooral een mega concern als Mercedes de troef af gaat steken zeer klein is. Hier word altijd geroepen "deze motoren zijn zo goed als uit ontwikkeld" dat word dan gezegd op het boeren verstand of simpel gezegd geen verstand maar een wens.

      De Japanners zijn al lang niet meer zo goed als ze ooit waren in de techniek, net zoals hier altijd word geroepen dat een stel Italianen geen F1 team kunnen runnen. Kortzichtig Hollands hokjes denken.

      Volgend jaar word strijden met Renault voor Honda/RBR dat voorop. Wie er kampioen gaat worden is geen hamvraag voor een RBR fan. Sorry Raketbeest...

      @Dreamsofpower, is Honda dan geen wereldconcern? Ze bouwen meer auto’s dan Mercedes. En klopt het dat Honda en Red Bull naast hun eigen afdelingen ook externe expertise ingehuurd hebben voor het F1 project? Hun budget voor dit project schijnt enorm te zijn.
