Ross Brawn ziet in de toekomst 'oplossingen' komen voor Schumacher

Ross Brawn is ervan overtuigd dat er in de toekomst 'oplossingen' gaan komen voor de hersenbeschadiging van Michael Schumacher. De zevenvoudig wereldkampioen Formule 1 en daarmee de succesvolste Formule 1-coureur aller tijden, werd vorige week nog 50 jaar. 

De Formule 1-legende maakte in 2014 een ski-ongeluk mee en liep daarbij de eerdergenoemde hersenbeschadiging op. Sinds het ongeluk houdt de familie-Schumacher de gezondheidssituatie van de Duitser geheim. 

Brawn, de sportief directeur van de Formule 1, is een hechte vriend van Michael en de rest van de familie en hij benadrukt wat de familie allemaal heeft moeten doorstaan. "Zijn vrouw Corinna en zijn kinderen Mick en Gina-Maria hebben zoveel moeten doorstaan in de jaren na het ski-ongeluk."

"Ze hebben echter nooit verzaakt in het steunen van Michael en in hun geloof dat er oplossingen gaan komen. We zijn er allemaal optimistisch over dat er in de toekomst oplossingen gaan komen en er komt een tijd dat het er beter uit komt te zien voor Michael", zegt Brawn tegenover BBC 5 Live.

      Denk dat je het moet lezen als "Michael is ernstig beperkt in zijn functioneren door hersenletsel en we zijn afhankelijk van doorbraken in de medische wetenschap die in de toekomst herstel van beschadigingen/herstel van functies mogelijk maken".

      Maar dit is uiteraard een interpretatie (wel o.b.v. alles wat op dit vlak naar buiten komt, wat dus niet veel is ;-) )

    Ik begrijp werkelijk niet, waarom er zo geheimzinnig over Schumacher wordt gedaan,jij is gewoon een kasplant, hij eet via een sonde, kan niet staan ga zo maar door, laat de familie nu eens open kaart spelen, dat zijn ze tegen over zijn trouwe fans verplicht, die hebben ook fors meegewerkt aan het vermogen van de familie, trouwens als het fors beter zou gaan, was hij allang in het nieuws geweest met foto en al, van Lauda is ook al weer een foto getoond hoe goed het met hem gaat, waarom dan niet bij Schumacher.

      Ik heb ooit een artikel gelezen waar schumi heeft gezegt dat hij ooit graag van de aardbodem wou verdwijnen na zijn f1 carrière om zo in alle rust te kunnen leven.

      In zijn geval geloof ik echt dat hij een zwaar ongeluk heeft gehad en stop ik mijn hoofd in de grond en blijf ik aan dat artikel van tig jaar terug en dat hij mooi gezond is.

      Eigenlijk is dat best beschamend naar hun toe dat ze nog steeds niet met het verlies om kunnen gaan.

      @Miraasap, wellicht moet je je eens wat gaan verdiepen in de man? Tip van de dag, lees bijvoorbeeld eens de biografie van James Allen over Schumacher dat tot stand is gekomen d.m.v. van vele gesprekken met Schumacher zelf, zijn familie, de teams waarvoor hij heeft gereden, vrienden, andere grootheden uit de F1 etc. Dan zie je een heel duidelijk patroon over waarom men privé zo afschermt. En het meest bijzondere is, het wordt ook nog eens extreem helder uitgelegd.

      Wat is er in vredesnaam nou zo erg aan om 1x een berichtje uit te laten gaan over Micheals toestand. Zijn fans verdienen het niet om in het ongewisse gehouden te worden en zouden graag iets horen wat ze hoop geeft. Zou hij een kasplantje zijn zeg dat dan ook gewoon want dan weten we dat er een wonder nodig is en zoiets zal helaas niet gebeuren.

    Ja super gedaan, allemaal zo privé dat elke scheet nog steeds uitgebreid in de pers komt en vervolgens weer elle lange discussies uitlokt... Was heel wat slimmer geweest om gewoon de waarheid te vertellen omtrent de toestand van Schumacher... Je kan er bijna opwachten tot het toch een keer een papparazi lukt om foto,s te maken . En ik heb zo het idee dat het niet prettig zal zijn , gewoon zwaar gehandicapt, is bij mij geen enkele twijfel over ...

      Zolang we niet weten wat zijn toestand is blijft het de fans bezig houden en word hij daardoor ook niet vergeten.

      Als naar buien komt dat het een kasplantje is word er over een maand niet meer gesproken over Schumacher

    Het zou wijzer geweest zijn als Brawn niets had gezegd. Dit is alleen weer een voedingsbodem voor allerlei geruchten en nare opmerkingen.
