Voormalig Ferrari-manager: "Vertrek Arrivabene is geen verrassing"

Voormalig Ferrari-manager, Daniele Audetto, zegt dat hij er niet verbaasd over is dat Ferrari voormalig teambaas Maurizio Arrivabene aan de kant heeft geschoven. Vorige week werd bekendgemaakt dat hij in zijn functie opgevolgd zou worden door technisch directeur Mattia Binotto.

"Wanneer je na vier jaar nog steeds niet hebt gewonnen, dan is het moeilijk om in een leidende positie te blijven", zegt Daniele Audetto, een ervaren voormalig Formule 1-manager die meest recent betrokken was bij de teams van Super Aguri en HRT, tegenover Autosprint.

"Je krijgt altijd automatisch een andere manager bij een team dat geboren is om te winnen, maar dat laat afweten. Dat is de harde wet van de Formule 1. Dat geldt voor met name Ferrari op een nog veel exclusievere manier", is Audetto van mening.

"Het is jammer voor Maurizio, aangezien hij een vriend is. Maar hij betaalt er ook voor dat hij niet afkomstig is uit de racerij. Aan de andere kant is het daarom een geweldig resultaat dat hij nog zolang in die positie heeft gezeten als dat hij heeft gedaan."

    Ferrari wil graag Stefano Domenicali terughalen naar Maranello maar die heeft aangegeven gewoon bij Lamborghini te willen blijven (vooralsnog)

      Iemand terughalen naar het oude nest werkt zelden.
      Ferrari moet gewoon een frisse start maken met Binotto, en hem de komende jaren de kans te geven.
      Iemand die niet wil moet je niet geforceerd gaan proberen over te halen.

      Het schijnt dat ze bij Ferrari op zoek zijn naar een (politiek) sterke man om de onderhandelingen te voeren over de toekomsige regelgeving na 2020, en dat Binotto daar te weinig kaas van heeft gegeten.

      Ik weet niet of ik Domenicali graag zie terugkeren bij Ferrari. Ik ben het met Nico eens dat ze gewoon vers moeten beginnen en bouwen en misschien voor sommige posities nog mensen moeten aantrekken.
