Alonso gaat het rijden in de hedendaagse Formule 1-auto missen

Fernando Alonso won in de Formule 1 twee wereldtitels, maar daar is wel volledige toewijding en inzet voor nodig geweest. Dat laat de Spanjaard weten. Alonso geeft aan dat hij de Formule 1 met een dubbel gevoel verlaat. Er zijn bepaalde dingen die hij gaat missen, maar andere zeker niet.

"Ik denk dat ik het rijden met de auto's het meest ga missen. De auto's zijn iets speciaals. Het maakt niet uit of je veertiende of vijfde wordt of dat je strijdt voor de overwinning. Natuurlijk is het extra plezierig wanneer je voor het podium of de winst kan rijden, maar zelfs wanneer je de kwalificatie of een vrije training moet rijden, zijn deze auto's speciaal."

"De hoeveelheid technologie die in deze auto's zit, is moeilijk te kopiëren in andere series. Aan de andere kant zitten er ook negatieve aspecten aan de Formule 1, met name wanneer je hier al achttien jaar rondrijdt. Je wijdt je hele leven aan de Formule 1. Je hebt geen vrienden, geen familie, geen vrije tijd, geen privacy, geen vrouw, geen kinderen, helemaal niets", zegt Alonso tegenover Crash.

"Het zit vol toewijding wanneer je wil slagen. Dus ik denk dat ik op dit moment andere prioriteiten heb. Wanneer je in andere disciplines en series rijdt, dan realiseer je je dat de Formule 1 een stap hoger is en je probeert gewoon in alles perfectie te vinden, ieder weekend, iedere twee weken over de hele wereld. Dit zijn waarschijnlijk de beste herinneringen die ik van de Formule 1 zal onthouden."

  Volgens mij zei hij hetzelfde. De auto's het summum maar de manier waarop het gaat (dominantie, duidelijke twee (drie?) deling) waardoor je eigenlijk nooit een podium zal scoren tenzij je bij een van de drie topteams zit. En niet iedereen kan in die auto's terechtkomen. Daar passen er maar 6 in.

Het is ook maar net hoe je als coureur/mens in elkaar zit natuurlijk. Vettel, Kimi en Grosjean hebben "gewoon" een gezinsleven, Hamilton vliegt voor de lol vaak de hele wereld over om leuke dingen te doen buiten de hectiek van de F1, en Max zit het liefst gewoon thuis een beetje te simmen en te voetballen.

  Geen vrienden: Nou dat ligt toch vooral aan jezelf.
  Geen Familie: Lijkt me stug, iedereen heeft familie.
  Geen vrije tijd: Nou Fernando, je had zoveel vrije tijd dat je naast F1 ook nog even in het WEC ging rijden....
  Geen Privacy: Even aan Vettel vragen hoe dat werkt.
  Geen Vrouw: Tja, beter je best doen....geld zat dus keuze genoeg.
  Geen kinderen: Logisch als je geen vrouw hebt...
  Helemaal niets: Ook dit lijkt mij lichtelijk overdreven, je zwemt in het geld, en kunt jezelf van alles veroorloven...
  Kortom, Fernando lult uit z'n nek....;)

Mja wat moet je hier nu van denken?

of je veertiende of vijfde wordt of dat je strijdt voor de overwinning.
Daar geloof ik geen hol van ........anders was ie wel gebleven vermoed ik.

  Hij zegt dat het rijden in de auto gemist gaat worden. De reden dat hij vertrekt is inderdaad dat hij geen kans maakt op een podium laat staan een overwinning. Niks tegenstrijdig aan.
