Een menigte van naar schatting tussen de 150.000 en 200.000 toeschouwers was gisteren getuige van de demonstratie van Sauber-coureur Sergio Perez in Guadalajara. Perez vertoonde zijn kunsten op een parkoers van 1,5 kilometer lang in de straten van de Mexicaanse stad.

De in 2011 debuterende coureur genoot met volle teugen. Perez: Dit was een van de beste dagen van mijn leven. Het was een geweldige ervaring. Ik heb nog nooit zoiets ervaren met zoveel mensen die me toejuichten. Ik ben trots om een Mexicaan te zijn en ik ben trots op de steun. Dit is een mooie boost aan de vooravond van mijn eerste Formule 1-seizoen.
