Andere aanpak heeft goed uitgepakt voor Daniel Ricciardo

Afgelopen weekend tijdens de Grand Prix van China scoorde Daniel Ricciardo zijn eerste punten voor het team van Renault. De voormalig teamgenoot van Max Verstappen rijdt dit jaar voor het Franse team en zag tijdens de eerste twee races de finishvlag niet door betrouwbaarheidsproblemen.

Voor de derde race van het seizoen heeft de Australier een andere aanpak gekozen en die heeft goed uitgepakt, zo vertelde hij onder andere aan GPToday.net: "Ik denk dat de andere aanpak die we dit weekend hebben gekozen goed is uitgepakt. Het is altijd fijn als de eerste training vlekkeloos verloopt. Ik weet niet of dat soms geluk is of goede voorbereiding maar we hadden de juiste afstelling en hoefden tijdens het weekend weinig te veranderen. Ik kom op mezelf bouwen en daardoor de auto beter leren kennen. Hier en daar heb ik wat aangepast en deze dingen zijn ook voortgekomen uit de test die we in Bahrein hebben gehad."

Renault hoort vooraan middenveld

Na drie Grands Prix is het inmiddels ook duidelijk dat Renault het middenveld aanvoert, een positie waar het Franse team thuishoort, al is er nog genoeg te verbeteren. Daniel Ricciardo: "Het is zeker positief voor ons dat we vooraan het middenveld rijden. Ideaal gezien willen we het gat vergroten naar de concurrentie. Uiteraard zijn er genoeg dingen die we moeten verbeteren maar als ik naar het hele weekend kijk horen we ook vooraan die groep te staan."

Prestatie hoor, komt er 1 wagen aan de finish en de vlaggen kunnen uit. Denk dat het herbouwen van de Notre Dam eerder klaar is dan Renault een stap voorwaarts zet.

Waar is nu de andere aanpak? Wordt hier niet veel wijzer van, maar waarschijnlijk was het geluk dat hij afgelopen race goed scoorde ?

  Ach @d07, ik ben F1 liefhebber en daarin is geen ruimte voor blinde haat. Beetje sarcasme moet kunnen. Wel leuk hoor dat lijstje. Maar als je naar het verschil in tijden kijkt en betrouwbaarheid dan is Renault geen klap dichterbij gekomen.

  In elk bericht over Renault waarin jij reageert, ben je zeer negatief. Laatst noemde je het nog een zielig team, omdat ze geen zin hebben in die clowns van Ziggo. Heb je uberhaupt wel gehoord wat die lui van Ziggo zeggen over Renault? Afgelopen race was het weer eens raak, logisch dat ze daar totaal geen zin in hebben.. het tokkievolk uit Nederland komt ineens aanzetten omdat we een goede coureur hebben. Max schaamt zich zelfs voor die 2.
  
  Dus in zekere zin heb je een zéér sterke afkeur c.q. haat voor Renault. Daarnaast ben je over alles negatief, behalve ..... je raad het al.
  
  Dat lijstje zijn gewoon de feiten, Renault als team is wel stappen aan het maken. Dat valt mensen die puur alleen naar de motor kijken niet op nee...

  Het lijstje dat jij noemt zegt juist heel weinig. Ik heb deze discussie vorig jaar gevoerd en dacht ook dat Renault dichterbij was gekomen. Echter als je, zoals jd2000 aangeeft, naar de tijden en het gat naar de top kijkt, is Renault qua tijd geen klap dichterbij gekomen aan de top. Sterker nog, volgens mij (kan het mis hebben) was het gat qua tijd zelfs gegroeid.
  
  Dus renault doet het goed t.o.v de andere teams in de middenmoot/achterhoede maar niet goed t.o.v. de top teams.

  @d07,het probleem is niet dat ik het verzin, maar Renault is gewoon verrot slecht. En een teambaas die met de meest rare beloftes en excuses komt is gewoon vermakelijk. Zou willen voor de sport dat Renault volop mee doet. Renault heeft het 4e budget en presteert gewoon slecht. Alleen Cyril heeft het nog niet in de gaten. En ja, ik kan me daar kostelijk om amuseren.
