Het is bijna een traditie van Red Bull om haar coureurs voorafgaand aan een Grand Prix een traditionele sport in het bezochte land te laten doen. Ook in Canada is dat weer het geval.

In het verleden hebben Daniel Ricciardo en Max Verstappen al teamgenoten al eens ijshockey mogen spelen in Canada, terwijl ook mountainbiken en wild water rafting op het programma gestaan hebben. In 2019 staat er echter iets heel anders op de rol voor Verstappen, Pierre Gasly en Toro Rosso-mannen Daniil Kvyat en Alexander Albon.

De vier coureurs werden aan de slag gezet met lumberjacking, wat de sportieve tak van het houthakken is. De mannen mochten onder andere boomstronken doorzagen en met bijlen gooien. Dat werd door Red Bull vastgelegd met de volgende video.
