Kubica weet dat Williams tijd nodig heeft om veranderingen te realiseren

Robert Kubica heeft benadrukt dat het tijd zal vergen om de wijzigingen die bij Williams zijn aangebracht op het circuit te zien. Williams is bezig aan zijn slechtste seizoen in de 40-jarige geschiedenis en heeft halverwege het seizoen nog geen punten gescoord en is bovendien nog niet uit Q1 gekomen.

Technisch directeur Paddy Lowe werd de wacht aangezet na de testritten op het circuit van Barcelona en zijn vertrek werd eind vorige maand formeel bevestigd.

Kubica vertelde na de mislukte race op Silverstone: "Ik wil niet veel in detail treden, maar er is wel degelijk werk geweest en aan de gang om de fabriek te herstructureren."

"In de fabriek zijn mensen bezig met de herstructurering en dat kost tijd. Het kost ook tijd om lege plekken op te vullen, zeker als je mensen hebt die weggaan. We zijn één team en moeten hard aan het werk om de opgelopen achterstand goed te maken. Ik heb respect voor de mensen die aan onze auto's werken, dus laten we afwachten wat er gebeurt."

De Pool, die een zeer teleurstellend seizoen kent vertelde verder: "Er is zeker veel aan de hand, maar dat is normaal in de Formule 1. Ik denk dat niemand in de paddock op dit moment aan het chillen is."

"Iedereen probeert het maximale uit de auto's te halen, maar ook uit de fabriek en de mensen. We bevinden ons in een moeilijke situatie maar we moeten blijven werken en knokken."

Wel weer jammer voor die mensen in de fabriek dat 1 van hun rijders eigenlijk simpel weg gezegd te traag is. 2 goede rijders in het team had zeker geholpen.
Maar salarisen moeten ook betaald worden , daar helpt Kubica dan weer mee door middel van zijn sponsors.

Blij dat Lowe eruit gemieterd is, maar vind het echt jammer dat Kubica niet iets van zijn come-back weet te maken.
Maar het zij zo. Zolang het team zich maar weer op de rails krijgt.

Echt? Toch 1 van de meest succesvolle teams allertijden. Ik ben nooit fan van een team geweest hoor maar ik dacht dat die wel een beetje meer fans hadden.

Denk dat het uiteindelijk toch weer goed komt met Williams, De infrastructuur achter het raceteam is goed. Als men door middel van investeringen in de fabriek de techniek weer up to date krijgen, dan komt het weer goed.

  Je kunt er honderden miljoenen in pompen. Maar als er niemand is die de problemen en detail kan benoemen en gericht gaat aanpakken gaat er niks veranderen. 'Herstructureren' is net als bij de overheid. Men besluit dat iets niet goed gaat. De oplossing wordt gevonden in een reorganisatie. Resultaat, alles is nog precies hetzelfde alleen heet het anders. Geloof mij, ik heb genoeg reorganisaties bij de overheid meegemaakt om te weten waar ik het over heb. 'Herstructureren' of 'reorganiseren' heeft alleen zin als je daarmee de kern van het probleem aanpakt. Maar ja, daar zit nou net het menselijke probleem: toegeven dat er iets niet goed gaat, oorzaken aanwijzen en rücksichtslos aanpakken, dat gebeurt zelden of nooit.
